(183) Surviving Bondman has Just Cause to fear that the said Estate will be Demanded of him who is already threatned by the Heirs of the said Lomax to prevent which Impending Danger your Petition Humbly prays your Worships that in your great wisdom and under Care of the orphans aforesaid as well as the Administration of Common Justices to your Petitioner would Cause the said Mac Neale to procure fresh Bond that thereby your Petitioner may be Secured therein and he as in duty Bound shall ever pray November 10.th 1747 On Reading of which Petition it was ordered that Summons Issue for John McNeale to answer the Premises and the said John MaccNeale appearing according to Summons and nothing appearing to the Court to oblige him to give him County Security therefore the within Petition is Dismissed James Freeman on his Petition to the Court is admitted to Keep ordinary at his house in Charles Town he giving Security according to the Directions of the act of assembly in those Cases late made and Provided Whereupon into Court here in his Proper Person Comes the aforesaid James Freeman and acknowledged him self to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord Proprietary in the sum of Forty Pounds Current money of Maryland and also in Like manner Came Barton Hungerford and Henry Marten of same County and acknowledged themselves to owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto his said Lordship In the sum of Twenty Pounds Like money Each which sums they and every of them Severally Yielded & Granted should be made and Levied on their and Every of their Goods & Chattles Lands and Tenements to the Use of his said Lordship his Heirs and Successors On Condition that the said James Freeman do keep Good Rules and orders and does not Suffer Idle Loose or Disorderly Persons to Tipple Game or Committ other Disorders or Irregularities Contrary to the True Intent and meaning of the act of assembly concerning ordinarys and for the Better Regulating Innholders and Ordinary Keepers within this Province Money paid in Court to Sheriff William Eilbeck and William Nelson Prefers to the Court here the following Petn Vizt To the Worshipfull Justices of Charles County now in Court Sitting The petition of W.m Eilbeck and William Nelson Humbly Sheweth That your Petitioners became Security for Henry Brawner Deceased Estate Since his Widow Elizabeth Brawner has intermarried with a Certain Aaron Nally by which means we are apprehensive the Estate is a Wasting Therefore your Petitioners prays that the may be Releived by the said Nalleys giving other security and your (Petitioners) |
