(182)        November Court Anno Domini 1747

Whereupon it is ordered that Commission Issue Returnable here &C.a To
Allen Davies Jonathan Willson John Estep and Elias Smith or any three
or Two of them to Examine Evidences Touching the bounds of the said Tract or
Parcel of Land agreeable the Directions of the act of assembly in those Cases
late made and Provided


William Scisson Prefers to the Court here the following Petition Vizt

To the Worshipfull the Justices of Charles County in Court Now sitting  The petition
of William Scisson most Humbly Sheweth                      That whereas your Petitioner
has a Road turns through his Plantation to the great Prejudice of him & others
which if it was turned is but very little further and will be ^a^ much better Road desires
that your worships will be pleased to appoint Viewers to View the same and he
as in duty bound will ever pray &Ca


On reading of which Petition it was Ordered that Captain Richard Harrison
View the premises and Lay out the Road and make a Report thereon to next Court


John Burgess and James Gray Prefers to the Court here the following Petition Viz.t

To the Worshipfull the Justices of Charles County Now in Court Sitting

The Petition of John Burgess and James Gray sheweth who became bound for the
Estate of samuel Burgess who since have intermarried with one Philip Terrill
that is Like to Waste and Imbezzle the afs.d Estate your Petitioners therefore
begs your Worships to take the same into your Consideration either to Deliver
the said Estate into your Petitioners hands or make him give Security for the same
and your Petitioners as in duty bound will ever pray and so forth

On Reading of which Petition it was ordered that Summons Issue for Philip
Terrill & uxor to answer the Premises and the said Philip appearing
according to summons and nothing appearing to the Court to oblige him to
give Counter Security therefore the within Petition is dismissed


Francis Posey Prefers to the Court here the following Petition Vizt

To the Worshipfull the Justices of Charles County in Court now Sitting

                The petition of Francis Posey in Humble manner sheweth that your
Petitioner and Tubman Mankin Deceased became bondmen for the Estate
of Cleborn Lomax whose widow Intermarried with a Certain John McNeal
who is Now broke up House keeping and your petitioner being the only
                                                                                              (surviving)
