(180) November Court Anno Domini 1747 Mary Good by her Petition to the Court for her allowance is Rejected Richard Edelen Prefers to the Court here the following Petition Viz.t To the Worshipfull the Justices of Charles County the Petition of Richard Edelen Humbly sheweth that the Road leading from Benedict Town to Newport as it now stands is very Pernicious to your Petitioner and your Petitioner Humbly Conceives that where it goes thro' his Plantation it may be turned to the advantage of your Petitioner and no ways inconvenient to the Publick your Petition therefore Humbly prays your Worships that the Road afs.d may be turn'd accordingly and that your Worships will appoint Viewers for that Intent and your Petitioner shall ever pray On reading of which Petition it was ordered that M.r John Winter Mr Peter Wood and M.r James Nevison do View the Premises and make Report thereof James Hambletons by his Petition to the Court here set forth that he has a poor woman at his house and prays in allowance Read & Granted Mary and Queen Parish Petition for an assesment of four pounds of Tobacco P.r poll Read and Granted Portobacco Parish Petition for an assessment of Two pounds of Tobacco p.r poll Read and Granted Durham Parish Petition for an assessment of Three pounds of Tobacco p.r poll Read and Granted W.m Macpherson Jun Petition for an allowance of one Levy over Charged last year Read & Granted Thomas Thomas Petition for an allowance for keeping John Brennan a footman Read & Granted William Crags Petition for an allowance Read and Rejected Thomas Cooksey Petition about an orphan boy Named Henry Totter Read and Rejected John Glovers Petition for a further allowance for his Child Read and Rejected Edward Peck Petition for a further allowance for his Wife Read and Rejected James Gollahaw Petition for an allowance for his support for which he is allowed Eight Hundred Pounds of Tobacco |
