(151) Aforesaid It is Ordered that the sheriff take the said Philis to the Whipping Post and having Strip'd her from the Waist upwards there give her Twelve Lashes on the Bare Back for the offence aforesaid And afterwards to wit the same Second Tuesday in August the sheriff aforesaid Returns to the Court he hath done Execution on the said Philis Whereupon into Court here in his Proper Person Comes William Dalton of Charles County Planter and becomes Pledge and Security for the said Philis to Pay the several fees arisen due to the officers and Ministers of the Court here by occasion of the Premises
aforesaid Henry Darnall Gentleman Prosecutor of his Lordships Suits & Actions in the County afs.d ore Tenus Informs and gives the Justices of the Court here to understand that the said Jennett was and is Guilty of abusing Arthur Lee Gentleman one of his said Lordships Justices and Prays the advice of the Court here in the Premises and that the s.d Jennett to his said Lordships in this Part may Answer Whereupon the aforesaid Jennett Freeman into Court here in her Proper Person Comes and it being Demanded of her wether she be Guilty of the matter aforesaid as by the Information afs.d against her it is alledged she the said Jennet says that she is in no wise thereof Guilty Yet for that he will not Contend with his said Lordship in this Part Humbly submits herself to the Court Therefore it is Considered that the said Jennet be fined One Thousand Pounds of Tobacco for her offence aforesaid by the Court here adjudged and that the said Jennet be taken &C.a Whereupon into Court here in his Proper Person Comes Francis Ware of Charles County Gentleman and becomes Pledge and Security for the said Jennet to Pay the fine aforesaid as also the several fees arising due to the officers of the Court here by occasion of hte Premises
Be it Remembered that on this day to wit the Second Tuesday in August aforesaid Henry Darnall Esq.r his Lordships Attorney General Ore Tenus Informs and gives the Court here to understand that the said Thomas was and is Guilty of a Breach of his said Lordships Peace on the Body of William Cahil and Prays the advice of the Court herein the Premises and that the said Thomas to his said Lordship in this Part may answer Whereupon the aforesaid Thomas Steward into Court herein his Proper Person Comes and it being Demanded of him wether (he) |
