140) August Court Anno Domini 1747 Goods and Chattles Lands and Tenements to the use of his said Lordship his Heirs and Successors On Condition that the said Elias Smith do Keep Good Rules and Orders and does not Suffer Idle Loose or Disorderly Persons to Tipple Game or Commit other Disorders or Irregularities Contrary to the True Intent and meaning of the act of Assembly Concerning Ordinarys Keepers and for the Better Regulating Innholders and Ordinary Keepers within this Province fine Paid in Court to the sheriff 50/ shillings Currency George Tarvin on his Motion to the Court is admitted to Keep ordinary at his House at Charles Town he giving Security according to the Directions of the Act of Assembly in those Cases late made and Provided Whereupon into Court here in his Proper Person Comes the aforesaid George Tarvin and acknowledges himself to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord Proprietary In the Sum of Forty Pounds Current money of Maryland and also In like manner Came Matthew Stone and Robert Whythall of same County and acknowledge themselves to owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto his ^s.d^ Lordship in the sum of Twenty Pounds like money each which Sums they and Every of them severally Yeilded and Granted should be made and Levied on their and every of their Goods and Chattles Lands and Tenements to the use of his said Lordship his Heirs and Successors On Condition that the said George Tarvin do Keep Good Rules and orders and does not suffer Idle Loose or Disorderly Persons to Tipple Game or Commit other Disorderly or Irregularities Contrary to the True Intent and meaning of the act of Assembly Concerning ordinarys and for the Better Regulating Innholders and ordinary Keepers within in this Province fine Paid in Court to sheriff 50/ shillings Currency Cornelius Sandford on his Motion to the Court is admitted to keep Ordinary at his House at Charles Town he giving security according to the Directions of the act of Assembly in those Cases late made and Provided Whereupon into Court herein his Proper Person Comes the aforesaid Cornelius Sandford and acknowledges himself to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord Propry in the sum of Forty Pounds Current money of Maryland and also in Like manner Came George Tarvin and Honey Martin of the same County and acknowledge themselves to owe and stand Justly Indebted unto his said Lordship in the Sum of Twenty Pounds like Money each which sums they and every of them severally Yeilded and Granted should be made and Levied on their and every of their Goods and Chattles lands and Tenements to the use of his said Lordship his Heirs and Successors On Condition that the said Corn.s Sandford do keep Good Rules and orders and does not suffer Idle Loose or Disorderly Persons to Tipple Game or Commit other Disorderly or Irregularities Contrary to the True Intent & (Meaning) |
