Samuel Adams
James Britt (son of John Britt Late of Somerset County planter) if the Full Consent of his mother is
bound Out by the Court hereof he an apprentice according to act of assembly in such Case made and provided
unto Samuel Adams of Somerset County Joyner untill he arrives at the age of Twenty One Years he being
five Years of age the first of this Instant June the said apprentice to Serve his said Master the full term afd during
which term the said apprentice his said master well and faithfully he shall Serve his secrets Keep his Commandments
Lawfully and honestly every where willingly he shall doe and in all things as a good and faithfull apprentice
shall demean himselfe towards his said Master and all his during the term afd &c

             In Consideration of which service the said Samuel Adams present here in Court in his proper person
Covenanteth with the Justices of the Same Court in Court Judicially sitting in manner and form following that is to
say that he the said Samuel Adams shall and will during the term afd Learn his said Apprentice the trade of a hous Joyner
and to read write and Cypher as far as the rule of three Inclusive and at the Expiration of his Servitude give him a new suit of Cloaths
either of Kersey or drugget over and above his Common wearing Cloaths and likewise provid^e^ for his said apprentice meat drink
washing lodging and Cloathing Sufficient for his said apprentice to have and wear during the term af.d &c

                Whereupon the said Samuel Adams is Ordered to give Security to Comply with the Covenants af.d    Thereupon
the said Samuel Adams together with Collins Adams of Somerset County planter his Security both present here in Court in their
proper persons Acknowledged themselves Indebted unto the said James Britt in thirty pounds Curr.t money of Maryland of their bodys
Goods or Chattles lands or tenements Severally to be made and levied to the use of the said James Britt his heirs and Assigns  If it
happen that the said Samuel Adams do not during the term af.d learn his said apprentice the trade of a house Joyner and to read write and
Cypher as the rule of three Inclusive and do not at the Expiration of his Servitude give him a new suit of Cloaths either of Kersey or
Drugget ^over and above his Common wearing Cloaths^ and do not provide for his said apprentice meat drink washing lodging and Cloathing Sufficient for such and apprentice to have and
wear during the term af.d &c

Obadiah Cushaday an Orphan of his Own free Consent is bound Out by the Court
here an apprentice according to act of assembly in such Case made and provided unto Edmond
Hammond ^Junr^ of Somerset County weaver untill he arrives at the age of Twenty One Years
he being Sixteen Years of age the Sixt Eighteenth day of June Instant the said apprentice to serve his said Master the
full term aforesaid during which term the said apprentice his said Master well and faithfully he shall Serve his Secrets
keep his Commandments Lawfully and honestly every where willingly he shall doe and as a good and faithfull apprentice
shall demean himselfe towards his said master and all his during the term aforesaid &a

                                     In Consideration of which Service the said Edmond Hammond present here in Court in
his proper person Covenanteth with the Justices of the Same Court in Court Judicially Sitting in manner and form
Following that is to Say that he the said Edmond Hammond shall and will during the term af.d learn his said apprentice the trade of a weaver
and to read well in the bible and at the Expiration of his Servitude give him a new suit of Cloaths over and above his Common wearing
Cloaths and likewise provide for his said apprentice meat drink washing lodging and Cloathing Sufficient for his said apprentice
to have and wear during the term af.d &c      Whereupon the said Edm.d Hammond is Ordered to give Security to Comply with the
Covenants af.d    Thereupon the said Edmd Hammond together with John Purnall of Somerset County planter his Security both
