June Court                                 1741                        98

Assigns If it happen that the said Mathias Coston do not during the term af.d learn his said apprentice the trade of a house Carpenter
and to read write and Cypher as far as the rule of three Inclusive and do not at the Expiration of his Servitude give him a new
suit of Cloaths over and above his Common wearing Cloaths and do not provide for his said apprentice meat drink washing
lodging and Cloathing Sufficient for such an apprentice to have and wear during the term af.d &c

    John Williams an Orphan of his Own free Consent is bound Out by the Court here
an apprentice according to act of assembly in such Case made and provided unto Adam Bell
of Somerset County Chirurgion untill he arrives at the age of Twenty One Years he being Twelve Years
of Age Last may the said apprentice to serve his said Master the full term aforesaid during which term the said apprentice
his said manner well and faithfully he shall serve his secrets keep his Commandments Lawfully and honestly every
where willingly he shall doe and as a good and faithfull apprentice shall demean himself towards his said Master &
all his during the term aforesaid &.a
                                                                In Consideration of which Service the said Adam Bell present here
in ^Court in^ his proper person Covenanteth with the Justices of the same Court in Court Judicially Sitting in manner and
form Following that is to say that he the said Adam Bell shall and will during the term afd Learn his said apprentice
the trade of a weaver and read write and Cypher as far as the rule of three Inclusive and at the Expiration of his
Servitude give him a new Suit of Cloaths over and above his Common wearing Cloaths and Likewise provide for his said
apprentice meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing Sufficient for his said apprentice to have and wear during
the term aforesaid &a  
                                           Whereupon the said Adam Bell is Ordered to give Security to Comply with
the Covenants af.d    Thereupon the said Adam Bell together with Hutton Hill of Somerset County planter his Security
present here in Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto the said John Williams in thirty pounds
Current money of Maryland of their bodys goods or Chattles lands or tenements Severally to be made and levied to the use of the
said John Williams his heirs and Assigns  If it happen that the said Adam Bell do not during the term af.d learn his said apprentice
the trade of a weaver and to Read ^write and^ Cypher as far as the rule of three Inclusive and do not at the Expiration of his Servitude give
him a new suit of Cloaths over and above his Common wearing Cloaths and do not provide for his said apprentice meat drink
washing lodging and Cloathing Sufficient for such an apprentice to have and wear during the term af.d &c


Moses Hall
Chose Guardian
Moses Hall an Orphan above the age of fourteen Years Came hereinto Court in his proper
person and prays that he may be permitted to Chose a Certain Spence Hall of Somerset County planter
                            as his guardian which is by the Court hereunto him Granted &a

                                                 Thereupon the said Moses Hall makes Choice of the said Spence Hall as his Guardian
accordingly   Whereupon the said Spence Hall is Ordered to take into his Care and Custody the said Orphan and all his Estate
both reall and personall and give good security for to Comply with the Guardianship afd

                      Thereupon the said Spence Hall with Patrick Kersie and Samuel Powell of Somerset County planters
his Securitys all present here in Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto the said Moses Hall
the aforesaid Orphan in One hundred pounds Curr.t mony of Maryland of their Severall bodys goods or Chattles Lands
