94 Att which said Third Tuesday of March to witt the Seventeenth day of the same month Anno Dom One thousand seven hundred and forty Came the aforesaid Levin Gale by George Douglas his attorney and the sheriffe of Somerset County to witt John Handy Gentleman Likewise Came and made return of the aforesaid Writt thereof Endorsed in these words following The Within Named Richard Ellison and Elizabeth his wife have no good and Chattles which were of the within mentioned George Willcox all the time of his death in their hands to be administred within my Bailywick whereof I could make the ^within mentioned^ seventy four pounds Currant money of Maryland and Two hundred and Seventy four pounds of tobacco or any part thereof but divers goods and Chattles which were of the said George Wilcox at the time of his death to the value of seventy four pounds Curr.t money and Two hundred and Seventy four pounds of tobacco to the hands of the said Richard Ellison and Elizabeth his wife after the death of the said George to be administred Came which goods and Chattles the said Richard Ellison and Elizabeth his wife afterwards and before the return of this writt did West Eloin and to their proper Use Convert
Porter in your bailywick you make as well a Certain debt of Sixty pounds Current money of Maryland which Levin Gale George Gale John Gale and Mathias Gale in our County Court of Somerset before our Justices at dividing Creek recovered against the af.d Mary as three hundred Seventy and Eight pounds of tobacco which to them the said Levin George John & Mathias Gale in our same Court were adjudged for their damages which they had by Occasion of the detention of the same debt if George and Mary have so much goods and Chattles which were of the af.d Hugh at the time of his death in their hands to be administred and if so much they have not then the damages af.d of the proper goods and Chattles of the af.d George George and Mary and that you have that Same money and tobacco before our Justices of our County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek the third Tuesday of March then next Following to satisfie the af.d Leven George John & Mathias Gale of their debt and Damages af.d whereof the said George and Mary are Convict And whereupon it was Considered in our same Court that the af.d Levin George John and Mathias Gale should have Execution against the af.d George Bounds and Mary his wife of the debt and damages af.d of the goods and Chattles af.d by default &c And that you have then and there this writt Wittness John Scott Gent one of our Justices of our said Court the twenty Sixth day of Novr in the twenty Sixth year of our Dominion &.c Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and forty Att which said Third tuesday of March being the seventeenth day of the same month Ann Dom One thousand seven hundred and forty Came the aforesaid Levin George John and Mathias Gale's by George Douglas their attorney and the Sheriffe of Somerset County to witt John Handy Gentleman Likewise Came and made Return of the said writt thereof Endorsed in form Following The within named George Bownds and Mary his wife have noe goods and Chattles |
