him the same Thomas Carey nor but that he oweth the same Joseph the af.d Sixty two pounds Current money of
Maryland in maner and form as the af.d Joseph above against him hath declared

       Therefore it is Considered that the af.d Joseph Ennalls recover against the af.d Thomas Carey his debt af.d and
275   his damages by Occasion of the detention of the same debt to:  Two hundred and seventy five         pounds of tobacco to
the same Joseph of his Assent by the Court here adjudged and the af.d Thomas in mercy &c

Called John Powel of the the aforesaid County planter was Sumoned to answer
unto Edmund Hough of a plea that he render unto him the sum of Twenty five
pounds eight Shillings and four pence Currant money of Maryland which to him he Owes and Unjustly
detaines &.a
                            And whereupon the same Edmund by George Douglas his attorney says that whereas
the af.d John on the xv day of Janry in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and thirty Six at Somerset
County af.d by his Certain writing obligatory which the same Edm.d with the seal of the af.d John sealed hereinto Court
doth bring the date whereof if the same day and year af.d af.d did Acknowledge himself to be held and firmly bound unto
the same Edmund in the af.d twenty five pounds Eight shillings and four pence Curr.t money af.d to be paid unto the same
Edm.d when thereof should be requested  Nevertheless the af.d John altho' often requested the said twenty five pounds
Eight shillillings and four pence unto the same Edmund as yet hath not paid but the same to him hetherto to pay
altogether hath refused and still doth refuse to the damage of the same Edmund thirty pounds Curr money of Maryland
and thereof brings Suit &c                                                                                       Pledg.s &.c J: Doe R: Roe

       And the af.d John Powell by Robert Jenckins Henry his Attorney Cometh and defendeth the force and Injury when &c
and saith that he Cannot deny the Action af.d of the af.d Edmund Hough nor but that the writing obligatory af.d is the deed of
the same John nor but that he oweth the same Edmund the af.d twenty five pounds ^Eight Shillings and four pence^ Current money of Maryland in manner
and form as the af.d Edmund above against him hath declared

       Therefore it is Considered that the af.d Edmund Hough recover against the af.d John Powell his debt af.d and
275   his damages by Occasion of the detention of the same debt to:  Two hundred and Ninety Seven           pounds of tobacco
to the same Edmond of his Assent by the Court here Adjudged and the af.d John in mercy &c
