                March Court                            1741                79

    Therefore it is Considered that the aforesaid Joseph Ennalls Recover against the aforesaid Francis Tate
297   his debt afd and his damages by Occasion of the detention of that same debt to Two hundred and ninety Seven
pounds of tobacco to the Same Joseph of his assent by the Court here adjudged and the afd Francis in Mercy &c

WA  Henry Reynolds
Somerset County ss.t  Henry Reynolds late of Somerset County planter al dict Henry Reynolds of
Somerset County Bricklayer was Summoned to Answer unto Joseph Ennalls of a plea that he render
unto him Sixty ^two^ pounds Current money of Maryland which to him he oweth and from him he unjustly
detaineth &c
                         And Whereupon the said Joseph by Francis Allen his Attorney saith that whereas the said Henry the
twenty Second day of November Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and thirty nine at Somerset County af.d within the Jur
of this Court by his Certain writing obligatory which the said Joseph with the seal of the said Henry signed here unto Court
brings the date whereof is the same day and year did Acknowledge himself to be bound unto the af.d Joseph in the af.d Sixty
two pounds Curr.t money of Maryland to be paid unto the said Joseph when he should be thereunto required yett the said
Henry tho' often required the said Sixty pounds to the said Joseph hath not rendred but the same to him hitherto to
render hath denied and still doth deny and unjustly detain to the damage of the said Joseph of thirty pounds Current
money of Maryland af.d and thereupon he brings Suit &c                                          Pledg.s &c J: Doe: R: Roe

                   And the af.d Henry Reynolds by William Arbuckle his Attorney Cometh and defendeth the force and Injury when &c
and saith that he Cannot deny the Action af.d of the af.d Joseph Ennalls nor but that the writing obligatory af.d is the deed of the
same Henry Reynolds nor but that he oweth the same Joseph the af.d Sixty ^two^ pounds Current money of Maryland in manner and
form as the af.d Joseph above against him hath declared

          Therefore it is Considered that the af.d Joseph Ennalls recover against the af.d Henry Reynolds his debt af.d and his
297    damages by occasion of the detention of the same debt to   Two hundred and ninety Seven                          pounds of
tobacco to the same Joseph of his Assent by the Court here Adjudged and the af.d Henry in mercy &c

planter was Summoned to Answer unto Joseph Ennalls of a plea that he render unto him Sixty two pounds Curr
money of Maryland which to him he oweth and from him unjustly detaineth &c
         And Whereupon the said Joseph by Francis Allen his Attorney saith that whereas the said Thomas the twenty Second
day of November Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and thirty nine at Somerset County af.d within the Jur of this Court
