67 specified above upon him Imposed in manner and form as by the Indictment af.d above upon him Supposed &c Whereupon all and Singular the premisses being seen and by the Court here fully understood It is Considered by the Court here that the af.d Shadrick Claywell pay unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary for his fine by the Court here upon him Imposed for and by occasion of the premisses whereof In form af.d he is Convict thirty shillings Current money of Maryland and that the said Shadrick be taken to satisfie his said Lordship of the fine af.d &c Whereupon the said Shadrick Claywell is Ordered to give Security to save and keep Indemnified the Justices of the County of Somerset and their Successors from all troubles burthens and Charges that might Accrew by means of the birth and Maintainance and bringing up of the Child af.d &c Thereupon the said Shadrick Claywell with a Certain Peter Claywell J.r of Somerset County planter his security both present here in Court in their proper persons Acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his Lordship the right Honourable the Lord proprietary of the province of Maryland in thirty pounds Current money of their bodys Goods or Chattles Lands or tenements Severally to be made and Levied to the use of the Inhabitants of the County of Somerset for the time being If it happen that the said Shadrick Claywell and Peter Claywell J.r their heir Exrs & Admrs or any or either of them doe not from time to time or at all times hereafter acquit discharge and save harmless as well the Justices of Somerset County Court for the time being as also the Inhabitants of said County of and from all Costs Charges ^and^ Troubles whatsoever for or by reason of the birth maintainance and nourishing and bringing up of the said Child and of and from all other suits Charges troubles and demands whatsoever touching or Concerning of the same &c
planter the first day of february in the year of our Lord God seventeen hundred and forty with force and arms &c at the parish af.d in the County af.d within the Jurisdiction of this Court in and upon a Certain William Conner in the peace of God and the said Lord proprietary that now is then and there being an Assault did make and him the said William then and there did beat wound and evilly treat so that of his Life it was Greatly dispaired and other harms to the same William then and there did to the Grievous damage of him the said William and Contrary to the peace of the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary that now is his good rule and Government Ignoramus Parker Selby foreman And now to witt at that Same Court held for the County af.d at dividing Creek the af.d Seventeenth day of March Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and forty before the af.d Justices Came the af.d James Ellis in his proper person According to a Certain Recognizance by him and his Security in this part first Acknowledged and prays that his appearance may be recorded and he and his security of and from the the Recognizance aforesaid may be discharged thereupon the said James Ellis appearance is Recorded and he and his Security accordingly discharged Whereupon the said James Ellis is Ordered to give Security for the payment of all fee or fees due by means of the Indictment and Recognizance afd |
