65 Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty with force and arms at the parish of Stepney af.d in the County af.d the dwelling house of a Certain Eldgate Hitch about the Eleventh hour in the night time of the same day Feloniously and burglariously did break and Enter with Intent to steal the goods and Chattles of the same Eldgate in the same house then being a Certain Rachell Price with others of the family of the said Eldgate in the said house then and there being in the peace of God and the same Lord propry and her the said Rachell and others of the said Family in such fear then and there Feloniously and burglariously did put that of their Lives it was greatly dispaired Contrary to the peace of the Right Honourable the Lord proprietary that now is his good rule and Government &c Testes Isaac Handy Rachell Price and Negro Bonny On the foregoing Bill of Indictment it was Endorsed Ignoramus Parker Selby foreman And now to witt at a Court held at Dividing Creek this Seventeenth day of March Ann Dom One thousand seven hundred and forty before his Lordships Justices Came the aforesaid Negro Jack in his proper person according to a Certain Recognizance by his Security in this part first acknowledged and prays that his appearance may be recorded and his Security from the Recognizance afd may be discharged Thereupon the said Negro Jacks appearance may is recorded and his Security of and from the Recognizance afd is discharged &a Rachell Price appears here in Court according to her recognizance to Testifie on behalfe of his Lordship against a Certain Negro Jack the Negro of Samuel Hitch and was accordingly discharged therefrom &c Negro Bonny appears here in Court according to a Certain Recognizance by her Security in that part first acknowledged for her ye said Negro Bonys appearance at this Court ^to^ testifie for his Lordship ag.t a Certain Negro Jack the slave of a Certain Samuel Hitch and was discharged therefrom &a
peace in the County af.d to keep Assigned by the Oath of twelve Jurors being presented that Samuel Lamberson late of Coventry parish in the same County of Somerset planter and Henry Lamberson late of the parish and County af.d planter the Eleventh day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty with force and arms at the parish af.d in the County af.d one Hogg of value of twenty pounds of Tobacco the proper Hogg of a Certain William Merril then and there found then and there feloniously did steal take and bear away Contrary to the peace of the said Lord proprietary that now is his good rule and Government and against the form of the Act of Assembly in such case lately made and provided &c Thereupon Command is to the Sheriffe of the County afd that he should take the said Samuel and Henry Lambersons if &.a to answer &.a And now to witt att that same Court held for the County aforesaid at dividing Creek the |
