64 Case offending Contrary to the peace of the said Lord proprietary that now is his good rule and government and against the form of the Act of Assembly in such Case made and provided &c Whereupon the same Attorney of the said Lord proprietary prays Advice of the Court here in the premisses and that due process of Law in this part against the af.d Sarah Lowe may be made to answer the said Lord proprietary of and upon the premisses &c Thereupon Command is to the Sheriffe of the County aforesaid that he should take the ^said^ sarah Lowe if &c to answer &c and now to witt at that Same Court held for the County aforesaid at dividing Creek this Eighteenth Seventeenth day of March Ann Dom One thousand seven hundred and forty before the aforesaid Justices Came the afd Sarah Lowe in her proper person according to a Certain Recognizance by her and her security in this part first acknowledged and had a hearing of the Information aforesaid and saith that she Cannot deny but ^that^ she is Guilty of the premisses af.d in the Information af.d Specified above upon her Imposed in manner and form as by the Information af.d above upon her Supposed and maketh Oath that a Certain John Langford J.r is the begetter of the Child she stands Informed against Whereupon all and Singular the premisses being seen and ^by the Court here^ fully understood It is Considered by the Court here ^that^ the af.d Sarah Low pay unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary for her fine by the Court here upon her Imposed for and by Occasion of the premisses af.d whereof in form af.d she is Convict thirty Shillings Current money of Maryland and that the said Sarah be taken to satisfie his said Lordship of the fine af.d &c Thereupon the said Sarah Low is Ordered to give Security for the payment of any fee or fees due upon the Information and premisses af.d to any person or persons whatsoever &c thereupon a Certain Ralph Low ^of Somerset County planter^ present herein Court in his proper person undertook for the said Sarah Low to pay any fee or fees & all fees that might accrew due by means of the premisses and Information af.d to any person or persons whatsoever &.c
seven hundred and forty before John Scott Esq.r and his Associates the said Lord proprietary his Justices of the same County Court and for the same Lord propry doth give the Court here to understand and be Informed that John Langford Jun.r late of Stepney parish in the said County of Somerset planter the twentieth day of may in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty at the parish af.d in the County af.d within the Jurisdiction of this Court did Commit Fornication with a Certain Sarah Low and of her body then and there had Carnal knowledge and ^a^ bastard Child on the body of her the same Sarah then and there did beget to the High displeasure of Almighty God to the Evill Example of all others in such Case offending Contrary to the peace of the Right Honrble the Lord propry that now is his good rule and Government and against the form of the Act of Assembly in such Case lately made and provided &c Whereupon the same Attorney of the said Lord propry for the same Lord propry prays the Advice of the Court here in the premisses and that |
