             March Court                   1740                56

King of the same place planter his Securitys all present here in Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves
Indebted unto his Lordship the right honourable the Lord proprietary of Maryland in the full and Just sum of
Five pounds Current money of said province of their ^body^ goods or Chattles Lands or tenements severally to be made and
Levied to the use of his said Lordship his heirs and Successors   If it happen that the said Wonney Macclemmy
doe not pay and satisfie unto the sheriffe of the County af.d for the time being Fifty shillings Current money af.d
of the province af.d yearly and every year he shall keep such ordinary or house of Entertainment as af.d &c
Likewise the same Wonney Macclemmey with the af.d Solomon Long and Whittington King his Securitys af.d all present
here in Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his said Lordship the Lord proprietary in
forty pounds Current money of Maryland of their bodys goods or Chattles Lands or tenements severally to be made and
Levied to the use of his said Lordship his heirs and Successors  If it happen that the said Wonney Macclemmey doe not
keep Good rules and Orders and do suffer Idle loose or disorderly persons to tipple game or Commit disorders or other
Irregularities in his ordinary or house of Entertainment during the time that he shall keep the same Contrary to
the true intent and meaning of the Act of Assembly in such Case provided &c


Abraham Hill
  petn
                       To the Worshipfull Justices of Somerset County Court now sitting the humble petition
of Abraham Hill humbly sheweth that whereas your whereas your petitioner is very old decriped and poor and not
able to support my Family therefore humbly prays your worships to set me tax free and your petitioner
as in Duty bound shall pray
                                              The petition aforesaid being read and heard and fully understood   It is Considered
by the Justices here that the aforesaid Abraham Hill be for the future Tax free as by the petition aforesaid is praid


       Thomas Bell of Annamessex is appointed Overseer of the Roads in Annamessex hundred for the Ensuing Year
in stead of John White &a


             William Shores of Somerset County planter is appointed Constable of Manny Hundred for the Ensuing Year and
being present herein Court ^took^ to the Severall Oaths appointed by act of assembly to be taken to the Government with the
Oath of Constable and repealed the test and subscribed the same with the Oath of abjuration &a


Joseph Derickson appointed Overseer of the Roads for the Ensuing YEar in stead of Beavins Morris
in Baltemore hundred &a


          John Denston sen.r appointed Overseer of the Roads in Pocomoke hundred for the Ensuing Year in stead
of John Sheldon &a      
                                                 James Weatherly appointed Overseer of the Roads in Nanticoke hundred for the Ensuing
Year from Rewastico Mill to Baron Creek Mill and from the head of Little Creek Over into the main Road that Leads
from James Givans's to the Chapple and from thence up to the Chapple at Spring Hill &a


             Ambros Willett appointed Overseer of the Road from The Muddy Branch at the Corner of Popes Old plantation
down to Littletons Creek and Over the Runn of said Creek to a tree to be marked by Capt William Lane &a
