                         Therefore it is Considered that the afd Parker Selby
Recover against the afd George Pope his debt afd and his damages by Occasion
of the Detention of the same Debt to One hundred and ninety four            Pounds
172   of tobacco to the same Parker Selby by the Court here of his assent adjudged
and the afd George in Mercy &.a

                    Be it Remembred that Robert Jenckins Henry Gentleman attorney
of the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary that now is who for the same
       Lord Proprietary in this part prosecuteth doth Come here into the County Court of the
       said Lord Proprietary held for Somerset County afd (to witt) at dividing Creek in
       the same County the Seventeenth day of June in the year of our Lord God one
       thousand seven hundred and forty two before Robert King Esquire and his associates
       the said Lord Proprietary his Justices of the same County Court and for the same
       Lord Proprietary doth give the same Justices to understand and be Informed that John
       Jackson late of All hallows parish in the said County of Somerset Planter the twenty
       fifth day of July in the Year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred and thirty
       Nine at the Parish af.d  in the County af.d within the Jurisdiction of this Court did Commit
       fornication with a Certain Jean Harmon ^and^ of her body then and there had Carnal knowledge
       and a Bastard Child on the body of her the same Jean then and there did beget to the
       high Displeasure of Almighty God to the Evill Example of all all others in such Case
       offending Contrary to the peace of the Right honourable the Lord Proprietary that now
   is his good Rule and Government and against the form of the act of assembly in such case
made and provided      Whereupon the said Attorney of the same Lord Proprietary for the same
Lord Proprietary prays advice of the Court here in the Premisses and that due process of Law
may be made against the said John Jackson to answer unto the same Lord Proprietary
of and upon the Premisses &.a

    Thereupon Command was given to the Sheriffe of Sommerset County that he Should Take the said John Jackson if &a to
