307 of Maryland and for those Costs and Charges to One pound of tobacco Therefore it is Considered that that the aforesaid Mathew Kemp Recover against the aforesaid William King his damages aforesaid 721 by the Jurors aforesaid in form aforesaid assessed as also Seven hundred and forty Three pounds of tobacco for his Costs and Charges aforesaid to the Same Mathew Kemp by the Court now here of his assent of Increas adjudged which Certain damages in the whole amount to five pounds Eighteen Shillings 722 and Six pence Currant money of Maryland and Seven hundred and forty four pounds of tobacco and the aforesaid William King in Mercy &a
June Ann Dom One Thousand Seven hundred and forty One to answer unto James Stephen Bredell of a plea of trespass upon the Case &a and the Sam day is given to the aforesaid James Stephen here &a Att which day here Came againe the aforesaid James Stephen Bredall by William Arbuckle his attorney and the Sheriffe to witt John Handy Gent now here Returned that he had Taken the aforesaid David Hudson whose body here at this day he had ready to answer unto the aforesaid James Stephen Bredell of the afd plea as to him it was Commanded Whereupon the said David Hudson puts in his place George Douglas Gentleman attorney att Law against the aforesaid James Stephen Bredell of the aforesaid plea And thereupon at the Request of the parties aforesaid day is to them now here given untill next Court to held at dividing Creek in and for the County aforesaid the third Tuesday of August then next following in the same State as at present Saving to the parties aforesaid &a Att which day here Came againe the parties aforesaid by their attorneys aforesaid and hereupon the said James Stephen Complained of the aforesaid David in the plea aforesaid in form following viz.t Sommerset ss David Hudson Late of Sommerset County planter was attached to answer unto James Stephen Bredell of a plea of trespass upon the Case &a And Whereupon the said James Stephen by William Arbuckle his attorney Complaines that whereas the said James is an honest and peaceable Subject of our Lord the King That now is and as an honest and peaceable Subject of the said King and ^his^ Progenetors from his Nativity heitherto himself has Behaved and Governed free and Clear of any forceable Entry or Breach of the peace of our said Lord the King or the Right honerable the Lord Proprietary nevertheless the said David not Ignorant of the premises but plotting and Maliciously Intending |
