303 to the Damage of the same Henry by him by Occasion of the premisses in that part sustained the same William Saith and acknowledgeth that the af.d Henry hath Sustained Damages by Occasion of the premisses beyond his Costs and Charges by him about his Suit in that part apposed to three pounds and five shillings Curr.t money of Maryland and not more and because the af.d Henry denys not this but the same Allegation Grants to be true prays Judgment for those damages above acknowledged together with his Costs and Charges af.d to him to be adjudged &c Therefore by Consent of the parties af.d it is Considered that the af.d Henry Lawrance recover against the af.d William Wood Craft his Damages af.d to the af.d three pounds and five shillings Curr.t money 229 of Maryland in form af.d acknowledged as also pounds of tobacco for his Costs and Charges af.d to the same Henry at his request by the Court now here adjudged which Certain Damages in the whole amounts to three pounds and five shillings Curr.t money of Maryland and pounds of tobacco with stay of Execution untill the Sixteenth day of September next Following and the af.d William in mercy &c
Tuesday of June Ann Dom One Thousand Seven hundred and forty Two to answer unto Henry Lowes of a plea that he Render unto him One Thousand One hundred and Twenty Six pounds of tobacco which to him he Owes and Unjustly detaines &c and the same day is given to the aforesaid Henry there &a Att which day here Came the aforesaid Henry Lowes by William Arbuckle his attorney and the Sheriff to witt John Handy Gentleman now here Returned that he had Taken the aforesaid Ignatius Haddock whose body here at this day he had Ready to answer the aforesaid Henry of the aforesaid plea as to him it was Commanded Whereupon Came here into Court the aforesaid Ignatius Haddock in his proper person and Thereupon the said Ignatius at the prayer of the aforesaid Henry is adjudged to give Special bail to the action aforesaid but for want thereof the said Ignatius is Committed into the Custody of the Sheriffe there to Remaine &a And afterwards in the Same Court a Certain James Knight of Somerset County planter and undertook for the said |
