295 safe keep so that he might have his body before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek the third Tuesday of June Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and forty two to satisfie James Anderson of Five pounds Curr.t money of Maryland and three hundred and twelve pounds of tobacco which to the same James Anderson in the same Court before the Justices thereof at Dividing Creek were adjudged for his Damages which he had by Occasion of a Certain promise and Assumption to the same James by the af.d Peter made and not performed whereof he is Convict &c Att which day here Came the af.d James Anderson by in his proper person and the sheriffe of Somerset County (to witt) John Handy Gent now here returned that he had taken the af.d Peter Taylor whose body hereat this day he had ready to satisfie the af.d James Anderson of his Damages af.d as to him it was Commanded &c And the said Peter being by the sheriffe ledd to the barr is asked by the Court here if he was the Very same Peter the same person which the same James Anderson in the Damages af.d above Convicted or not says that he is Therefore the said Peter Taylor is Committed to the prison of the sheriffe of the County af.d thereto remain in safe Custody untill the same James Anderson of the Damages af.d should be fully satisfied &c
to be held at dividing Creek the third Tuesday of June Anno Dom One Thousand Seven hundred and forty Two to Satisfie Benjamin Warrington of five pounds Currant money of Maryland and five hundred and forty Six pounds of tobacco a Certain debt as also Twenty Two pounds of tobacco additionall Costs which the said James Townsend together with Saul Townsend and Solomon Townsend before John Scott and William Lane Gentlemen two of his said Lordships Justices of the aforesaid County Court on the Eighteenth day of June Ann Dom One Thousand Seven hundred and forty One Confessed Judgmt unto the aforesaid Benjamin Warrington accordingly to act of assembly in Such Case made and provided whereof the Same James is Convict &a Att which day here Came the aforesaid Benjamin Warrington by George Douglas his attorney and the sher to witt John Handy Gentleman at the Same day ^now here^ Returned that he had Taken the aforesaid James Townsend whose body he had here Ready to Satisfie the aforesaid Benjamin Warrington of the debt and Costs aforesaid as to him it was Commanded &c
