281 the above Commission and made return thereof endorsed with the severall deposition there to annexed in form Following August the 4 1741/ Then was Samuel Willson Quallified to execute the within Commission agreeable to Act of Assembly in such Case provide before RKing August 8.th 1741/ Then was Capt David Willson Quallified to Execute the within Commission agreeable to Act of Assembly in such Case provided before Sam.ll Wilson The Examination of the above Commission appears in a deposition to the same Annext David Wilson Sam.ll Wilson Somerset County ss Deposition taken upon a Certain tract of Land Called Fishing Island scituate lying and being in Somerset County on the south side of manokin River By Virtue of the a Commission from the worshipfull the Justices of Somerset County to us directed the 19th day of June Anno Dom 1741 December the 7.th 1741 The Deposition of John Treheirn aged fifty nine years being sworn ^up^on the holy Evengelist of allmighty God deposeth and saith that about forty three years agoe this deponant went with George Lane late of this County dece.d to fishing Island to help Carrey some horses and as he was Coming back again past a Creek of the af.d river Called Woolf trap Creek he shewed this deponant a small hammock of trees and told him in that hammock stands a m.t pine which was one of the bounders of his of his tract of land Called Fishing Island and the deponant further saith that he went sundry times afterwards to the af.d Hammock and there saw a m.t pine which said pine is since dead and stood near about the place where now a Ceader post is set up which said post stands on the south side of monokin River and on the west side and near the head of a Cove between Fishing Island and Madduxes Island and near two or three small Ceaders that stands on a point of Marsh that makes the mouth of Woolftrap Creek and this deponant further saith not Jn.o Trahairn Somerset County ss By Virtue of the Within Commission to us directed we whose names are hereunder Written being first duly Quallefyed as the law directs after due notice Given did on the 7.th day of December Anno Dom 1741 meet upon the tract of land Called Fishing Island and took the within deposition which we humbly Certifie to the worshipfull Justices of Somerset County Court In Wittness whereof we have set our hands and seals this 7.th day of December Anno Dom 1741 David Wilson (seal) Sam.ll Wilson (seal)
