280 the younger and Levin Woolford and further he has heard Levin Woolford say that the pine af.d was the division and if his father had Left him up to the Old field it would a made him a fine plantation and further he has heard the Creek running up by John Woolfords Called Woolfords Creek forty years past and further this deponant saith not Tho.s Hicks deft Joseph Brand aged about Sixty four Years being sworn on the holy Evangelis of almighty God says that always for about forty years he has heard a gutt runing up by Luks point Called Woolfords Gutt and that Coll Roger Woolford told him that a pine standing near a marsh some distance from the Gutt aforesaid was the division between himselfe and Levin Woolford and that LEvin Woolford said that if the neck was his he would not take a great deal for it but he darst not meddle with it and that he heard Levin Woolford say that the pine aforesaid was the bounder between him and his mother and that it was a mark.t Tree many Years before Levin Woolfords death and further says that the Creek that Leads Up to John Woolfords was Called Woolfords Creek and that Levin Woolford never tended any Corne this side the Creek and that the great pasture fence Run down to the said Gutt by Luks point and further this deponant saith not his Joseph I Brand mark deft Mary Pitts wife of John Pitts of Dorchester County aged about forty nine Years being Sworn on the Holy Evangelis of Almighty God ^and^ says that her Grandfather Roger Woolford the Elder and her Grand Mother and her Uncle Levin and all used to reckon the Gutt running up by Luks point the Great pasture gut and that the great pasture fence Lead down to the head of said Gutt and that she has heard the Creek that Leeds up to John Woolfords Called Woolfords Creek and that her Grand mother has offen told her to goe Fetch the Gees and Gosleens ^out^ of the Creek and that she has heard her uncle Levin say that he had noe pretentions on that side of the Gut nor that he had noe land between the Great pasture Gut and the Creek and further this deponant saith not Mary Pitt Def.t Ann Mitchell aged about Sixty five years being sworn on the holy Evangelist of Almighty God says that she has heard LEvin Woolford say that he Owned Luks point but for any of the Land she knew not and that she has heard the Gut Leeding up ^by^ Luks point Called the Great pasture Gutt by Severall people but doth not Know any in perticular and that the Creek by John Woolford was Called Woolfords Creek forty odd years agoe and further this deponant says not her Ann A Mitchell mark Def.t Thomas Smith Dorchester County aged about forty nine years being sworn on the holy evengelis of Almighty God say that he has ^allways^ heard that the Gut running up by Luks point was Called the Great pasture Gut and that the Great pasture fence run down to the marsh near the head of the Gut and that the Creek Leeding up to John Woolfords was Called Woolfords Creek and says he was told it by Levin Woolford and that Levin Woolford has shewed him the pine near the marsh and told him it was the Devision between him and his Brother Rodger and further he heard Levin Woolford say that he wished that his father had left him as far as a Valey in the neck he should be Very Well satisfied but as it was it was of Little worth meaning his the said Levins Plantation and further this deponant saith not Tho.s Smith Deft |
