Thomas Walker Lycence
and Recognizance

Thomas Walker of Somerset County Inholder Came here into Court in his proper person
and Prays that he may be permitted to keep an Ordinary or hous of Entertainment at his dwelling

house at Wickacomoco River in the County ^afd^ for the Use anc Conveniency of the Inhabitants travellers and strangers
as to them Respectively shall seem meet which is here unto him by the Court granted &.^a he giving security to Comply
with the act of assembly in such Case made and provided &.^a

                         Whereupon the said Thomas Walker with Mathias Gale Of the County afd Esq.^r and William
Jones of the same place Gent his securitys all present here in Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves
Indebted unto his Lordship the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary of Maryland in the full and Just sum of
five pounds Currant money of said province of their bodys goods or Chattells Lands or tenements severally to be
made and Levied to the Use of his said Lordship his heirs and successors   If it happen that the said Thomas
Walker doe not pay and satisfie unto the sheriffe of the County afd for the time being     fifty shillings Current money
of the province aforesaid Yearly and Every Year he shall keep such Ordinary or heirs of Entertainment as aforesaid &.^a
