275 Act of Assembly in such Case made and provided &c Thereupon Command was given to the sheriffe of the County of Somerset that he should take the said Elizabeth Porter if she should be found in his bailywick and her should safe keep so that he might have his body before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek the third Tuesday of March Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and forty one to answer unto his said Lordship of the Indictment af.d &a Att which said Third Tuesday of March to witt the sixteenth day of the same month Ann Dom One thousand Seven hundred and forty One before his Lordships Justices at a Court then held at dividing Creek Came the aforesaid Sheriffe and returned the aforesaid precept to him in form aforesaid directed and further Testified that the aforesaid Elizabeth Porter is not not found in his bailywick Whereupon the precept is as before Command was to the aforesaid Sheriffe that he Should Take the aforesaid Elizabeth Porter if she should be found in his Bailywick and her should safe keep so that he might have her body before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek the third Tuesday of June Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and forty two to answer unto his said Lordship of the Indictment af.d &c And now to wit at a Court held for the County af.d the third Tuesday of June being the fifteenth day of the same month Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and forty one two before his said Lordships Justices at dividing Creek Came the af.d Eliz.a Porter in her proper person and had a hearing of the Indictment af.d and saith that she Can not deny the Action af.d but that she is guilty of the premisses af.d in the Indictment af.d specified in manner & form as by the Indictment af.d above against her supposed and the premisses in the Indictment af.d Expressly Acknowledgeth and maketh Oath that a Certain William Copsey is the begetter of the bastard Child she stands Indicted for and is willing to pay her fine for the fact af.d &c Whereupon all and singular the premissess being seen and by the Court here fully understood It is Considered by the Court here that the af.d Elizabeth Porter pay unto his ^said^ Lordship the right Honrble the Lord proprietary of Maryland for her fine by the Court hereupon her Imposed for and by Occasion of the premisses af.d whereof in form af.d she is Convict thirty shillings Curr.t money of Maryland and that the said Eliz.a Porter be taken to satisfie his said Lord of the fine af.d &a Whereupon the said Eliz.a Porter is Ordered to give good Security for the payment of all Fee or Fees due on the Indictment af.d to any person or person whatsoever Thereupon the af.d Joseph Porter of Somerset County planter present herein Court undertook for the said Elizabeth Porter to pay all fee or fees due on the unto any person or persons whatsoever on the Indictment af.d in Case the said Eliz.a Porter doth not pay the same &a
