in such Case made and provided &c

                         And the af.d Edward Rownd by Geo Douglas his Attorney Comes and defends the force
and Injury when &c and saith that he Cannot deny the Action af.d of the af.d William Whittington nor Can
he say but that he owes the same William the af.d four pounds five shillings and one penny sterling money &
two hundred and thirty pounds of tobacco in manner and form as the af.d William above against him hath
declared

                     Therefore it is Considered by the Court ^here^ that the af.d William Whittington recover against
the af.d Edward Rownd his debt af.d and his damages by Occasion of the detention of the same debt to Two
273   hundred and Seventy three      pounds of tobacco to the same William Whittington of his Assent by the
Court here adjudged and the af.d Edward in mercy &c

 Maryland ss  Know all men by these presents that we Daniel
Harick and Joseph Clark ^Late^ of New England are held and firmly bound
unto Samuell Hopkins marchant of Somerset County to him his heirs
Ex.rs adm.rs or Lawfull attorney in the full and Just sum of one hundred
and twenty four pounds four shillings and four pence Curr.t money of the province af.d to which payment
well and truely to be made and done we bind ourselves Joyntly and severally for the whole and in the whole we
our heirs Ex.rs Adm.rs and Every of us firmly by these presents sealed with our seals and dated this 9th day of
aprill 1741
                         The Condition of the obligation is Such that If the above bounden Daniel Harick &
Joseph Clark they their heirs Executors adm.rs or Lawfull Attorney shall well and truly pay or Cause to be
payed to Samuel Hopkins or his order Lawfull Attorney the full and Just sum of Sixty pounds two
pounds and two shillings and two pence maryland Currancy at or upon the fifteenth Day of October Next
Insuing the date hereof then this Obligation to be void or else to be and remain in full force power & Vertue in

                         For as much as it is made appear to me the Subscriber one of
his Lordships Justices the peace for this County that Daniel Harrick within mentioned is
removed out of this province and hath removed part of his Effects in a Clandestine manner with a design to
defraud his Creditors you are hereby Commanded to Issue Attachment against the said Harricks effects
for the residue of the within obligation with the Incident Costs arrising thereon on behalf of Cap.t Samuell
