248 unto the Same Day he hath not paid or him for the Same Contented but the Same to him to pay or Content hath hetherto Refused and still doth refuse to the damage of the Same Day Scott Six pounds Currant money afd and thereof he brings his Suit &.a pledges de p.s Jno Doe @ Rid Roe And the aforesaid William King in his proper person Comes and defends the force and Injury when &a and saith that he Cannot deny the action aforesaid of the aforesaid Day Scott nor but that he did assume upon himselfe in manner and form as the aforesaid Day Scott above against him hath Complained and as to the damage of the Same Day by him by Occasion of the premisses in that part Sustained the Same William King saith and acknowledgeth that the aforesaid Day hath Sustained Damages by Occasion of the premisses beyond his Costs and Charges by him about his Suit in that part Expended to Two pounds Five Shillings and Eleven pence Currant money of Maryland and not more and because the aforesaid Day denys not this but the Same Allegation grants to be true prays Judgm.t for those damages above acknowledged together with his Costs and Charges aforesaid to him to be adjudged &c Therefore by Consent of the parties aforesaid it is Considered that the aforesaid Day Scott Recover against the aforesaid William King his damages aforesaid to the aforesaid Two pounds Five Shillings and Eleven pence Currant money of Maryland by the Same William in form aforesaid acknowledged as also 226 pounds of tobacco for his Costs and Charges afd to the Same Day at his request by the Court now here of the assent of the parties afd adjudged which Certain damages in the whole amount to Two pounds five Shillings and Eleven pence Currant money and pounds of tobacco and the afd William in Mercy &c
of March Anno Dom One Thousand Seven hundred and forty One to answer unto Robert Geddes of a plea of trespass upon the Case &.a and the Same day is given to the aforesaid Robert here &a And the aforesaid Robert Geddes Complained against the aforesaid Solomon Riggin of the afd plea in manner Following Sommerset ss.t Solomon Riggin Late of Sommerset County planter was attached to answer unto Robert Geddes of a plea of trespass upon the Case &a And whereupon the same Robert Geddes by Robert Jenckins Henry his attorney Complains that Whereas the aforesaid Solomon after the first day of May in the Year of our |
