                       March Court                      1741                   246

Creek the third Tuesday of March Next then and there to be Condemned according to Act of assembly to
and for the use of a Certain Levin Gale Esq.r unless the said Henry Reynolds by himself or his Attorney shall
appear and answer unto the said Levin Gale Esq.r of a plea of trespass upon the Case &.a  According to Law and that
by good and Lawfull men of your bailywick you make known unto the person or persons in his whose hands
you make the same attachment that he she or they be and appear before our Justices of our County Court of Somerset
to be held as to shew Cause if any he she or they have why the same goods Chattles rights or Credits so as af.d 
attached in his her or their hands ought not to be Condemned and Execution thereof had and made according to act
of Assembly in such Case made and provided if to him her or them it shall seem meet and how you shall Execute this
writt that you make know unto our said Justices at the day and place af.d and have you then and there this Writt
Wittness John Scott Gent one of our Justices of our said Court the twenty Sixth day of November Anno Dom one
thousand seven hundred and forty one

                         Att which day here Came the af.d Levin Gale Esq.r by Geo Douglas his Attorney and the sheriffe
to witt John Handy Gent now here made return of the foregoing writt to the Court here endorsed in these words Following

                      I do hereby Certifie that on the twenty seventh day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand
seven hundred and forty one within my bailiwick I attached of the goods and Chattles of the within named Henry
Reynolds to the value of the sum of twenty nine pounds three shillings and six pence Curr.t money of Maryland
in part of the sum of twenty nine pounds three shillings and three thousand pounds of tobacco within Contained
as by two shedales thereof to this writt annexed may appear which I have ready to be Condemned according to act
of Assembly in such case made and provided to and for the use of the within named Levin Gale Esq.r and
I hereby further Certifie that on the twenty fifth day of December in the year af.d within ^my^ bailywick af.d
I attached of the goods and Chattles of the same Henry Reynolds to the value of the sum of money af.d and tobacco
in the said writt Contained and in the hands of James Anderson and Benjamin Sharp severally to be Condemned
to and for the use af.d and by George Irving and John Doe good and lawfull men of my Bailywick I made known
unto the same James Anderson and Benjamin Sharp that they severally be and appear before the Justices within
Contained at the day and place within mentioned to shew Cause &c as by that writt I am Commanded
Inventory of Goods and Chattles belonging to Henry Reynolds Attached   so answers   John Handy Sher

a Case drawers an old table and five Chairs
a Bed Iron & heaters
two Iron potts & 3 p.r pott hookes & 2 Skillets 81ll @ 4d
