       March Court                               1741                    245

    Att which day here before his Lordships Justices Came the aforesaid Francis Allen in his proper person
    and the Sheriffe of Sommerset County to witt John Handy Gent at the Same day returned that he by virtue of the
writt aforesaid to him directed he had by Joshua Merrill and Nathaniel Hough good and Lawfull men of his bailywick
made Known unto the aforesaid Edmund Hough that he be before the aforesaid Justices at the day and place
aforesaid to Shew &a as to him within it was Commanded
                                                                                          And the aforesaid Edmund Hough so forewarned and
at the Same day Solemnly Called Came by George Douglas his attorney and Saith that he Cannot deny but that the aforesaid
Francis his Execution against the aforesaid Edmund Hough Ought to have of the aforesaid Seventy pounds fourteen Shill.s
Currant money of Maryland and Two hundred and Thirty Six pounds of tobacco &a

             Therefore it is Considered that the aforesaid Francis Allen have his Execution against the
aforesaid Edmund Hough of the aforesaid Seventy pounds fourteen Shillings Currant money of Maryland and
Two hundred and Thirty Six pounds of tobacco in form aforesaid Acknowledged according to the form of the Recognizance
aforesaid &c

          Levin Gale Esq.r haveing made appear to the subscriber one of the Justices
of Somerset County Court that Henry Reynolds is Justly Indebted to him the sum of Seventy
five pounds three shillings Curr.t money of Maryland for a pipe of wine barrell of Sugar
and two hogsheads of rum as p an Account produced may more fully appear and that the
said Henry is run away and about to remove his Effects out of this province you are hereby required Immediately according
to the form of the act of assembly in that Case made and provided to Issue an Attachment for the said Levin Gale for the
af.d sum of Seventy ^five^ pounds three shillings Curr.t money and Costs and for so doing this shall be your warrant given under my
hand and seal the 19th of January 1741                                                                                                      Henry Ballard   (seal)

        Pursuant to the above warrant and according
to an Act of Assembly in Such Case made and provided
was Issued the Following attachment against the goods and
Chattles of the aforesaid Henry Reynolds in manner following
vizt
                           Somerset ss  Charles absolute Lord
and Proprietary of the provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c  To the Sheriffe of Somerset
County Greeting we Command you that you attach any the goods Chattles rights or Credits of Henry Reynolds late of Somerset
County bricklayer if they shall be found in your bailywick to the Value of Seventy five pounds three shillings Curr.t money of
maryland and three thousand pounds of tobacco and when you have the same attached or any part thereof the same in your
your Custody safe keep so that you have the same before our Justices of our County Court of Soberest to be held at dividing
