     Command was given to the Sheriffe of Somerset County that
he should take Francis Allen Jun.r Late of Somerset County planter
                                  if he should be found in his bailywick and him should safe keep so that
he might have his body before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be
held at dividing Creek in the same County the third tuesday of March Anno Dom one thousand
seven hundred and thirty nine to answer unto Henry Lawes of a plea of trespass upon the
Case &.a and the same day is given to the af.d Henry here &.a

          Att which day here Came the af.d Henry Lawes by Robert Jenckins Henry his attorney
and the Sheriffs to witt John Henry Gent now here returned that he had taken the af.d Francis
Allen Jun.r whose body hereat this day he had ready to Answer the af.d Henry Lawes of the af.d plea
as to him it was Commanded

       And hereupon the said Francis Allen Jun.r puts in his place Francis Allen Sen.r Gent
attorney at Law against the af.d Henry Lawes of the af.d plea

       Whereupon at the request of the parties af.d day is to them now here given untill
next Court to be held at dividing Creek the third tuesday of June then next Following in the
same state as at present saveing to the parties af.d

          Att which day here Came againe the parties af.d by their attorneys af.d and hereupon the
said Henry Lawes declared against the af.d Francis Allen Jun.r in the plea af.d in form
Following      Somerset ss.t   Francis Allen Junior Late of Somerset County Planter was
attached to Answer unto Henry Lawes of a plea of trespass upon the Case &.a

                   And Whereupon the same Henry Lawes by Robert Jenckins Henry his
attorney Complains that whereas the af.d Francis the first day of May in the year of our Lord
one thousand seven hundred thirty and nine at Somerset County was Indebted to the same Henry
Lawes in the Quantity of one thousand three hundred seventy and four pounds of tobacco and
the sum of two pounds one Shilling and three pence Currt money of maryland for divers goods and
Merchandizes by the af.d Francis of the same Henry Lawes before that time bought had and
received as by an Account thereof hereinto Court brought may appear and so thereof Indebted
being the af.d Francis afterwards (to witt the same day and year af.d at Somerset County af.d
in Consideration thereof upon himself did assume and to the same Henry Lawes then and there
