Donnock Dennis for an assault &a Whereupon a Certain James Martin of Sommerset County Gentleman present here in Court in his proper person ^undertook for the said Samuel Davis and^ acknowledged himselfe Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary in ten pounds Currant money of Maryland of his body goods and Chattles Lands or tenements to the Use of his said Lordship his heirs and assuccessors to be made and Levied If it happen that the said Samuel Davis do not make his personall appearance before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of sommerset to be held at dividing Creek the Third Tuesday of June then next following and do not then and there give Such Evidence as he shall Know on behalfe of his Lordship against the afd Donnock Dennis for an assault &a and do depart the Same Court without Leave &a and afterwards the afd Recognizance by the Court here is discharged

the said John Lamberson and Alexander Maddox on Custody of the Sheriffe of the County afd into whose Custody before that time for the Cause aforesaid was ^were^ Committed and being by the Sheriffe aforesaid set to the Barr is thereupon Instantly demanded how they would thereof acquitt themselves of the premisses afd sayeth that they and Each of them are guilty of the premisses afd and putts them upon the favour of the Court &a Therefore it is Considered by the Court here that the afd John Lamberson pay unto his Lordships the Right |
