fornication with a Certain Absolom Hobbs and did permitt the Same Absolom then and there to have Carnal Knowledge
of her body and a bastard Child on the body of her the Same Mary then and there to begett to the high displeasure of Almighty
God to the Evill Example of all others in Such Case Offending Contrary to the peace of the said Lord proprietary that now
is his good rule and Government and against the form of the act of assembly in Such Case made and provided &a  Whereupon
the Same attorney of the Said Lord proprietary for the Same Lord proprietary prays advise herein of the Court
here in the premisses and that due process of Law in this part against the said Mary Bailey may be made to answer
unto the said Lord proprietary of and upon the premisses afd &a

          Thereupon Command was given to the Sheriffe of Sommerset County that he Should Take the said Mary Bailey
if &.a to answer &.a  And now to witt at that Same Court held for dividing Creek for the County afd the third Tuesday
of March to witt the Sixteenth day of the Same month Ann Dom One thousand Seven hundred and forty One before
the aforesaid Justices Came the afd Mary Bailey in her proper person according to a Certain Recognizance in
this part first acknowledged and had an hearing of the Information afd and saith that she Cannot deny but
that she is guilty of the premisses afd in the Information afd Specified above upon her Imposed in manner
and form as by the Information afd above upon her Supposed and make Oath that a Certain Absolom Hobbs
is the begetter of the Child she stands Informed against and is willing to pay her fine for the fact aforesaid

             Wherefore all and Singular the premisses being seen and fully understood   It is Considered by the Court
here that the aforesaid Mary Bailey pay unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary for her fine by the Court here
upon her Imposed for and by Occasion of the premisses afd whereof in form afd she is Convict thirty Shillings
Curr.t money of Maryland and that the said Mary be taken to satisfie his said Lordship of the fine afd

                   Whereupon the said Mary Bailey is Ordered to give Security for the payment of all fee or fees due on the
Information aforesaid to any person or persons whatsoever      Thereupon a Certain Thomas Hobbs of Sommerset County
planter present herein Court in his proper person undertook for the said Mary Bailey to pay all fee or fees due to any
person or persons whatsoever  In Case the said Mary Bailey doth not pay the Same &a

                             Be it Remembred that Robert Jenckins Henry Gent Attorney of the
right Honourable the Lord proprietary that now is who for the same Lord proprietary in this part
prosecuteth doth Come hereinto the County Court of the same Lord proprietary held for Somerset County af.d to witt at dividing
Creek in the same County the Sixteenth day of march in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty one before
John Scott Esq.r and his Associates Justices the said Lord proprietary ^his^ Justices of the same County Court and for the same
Lord proprietary doth give the Court here to understand and be Informed that Absolum Hobbs late of Stepney parish in
the said County of Somerset planter the tenth day of aprill in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty one
at the parish af.d in the County af.d within the Jurisdiction of this Court did Commit fornication with a Certain Mary Bailey
