237 Whereupon all and Singular the premisses being seen and by the Court here fully understood It is Considered by the Court here that the af.d Arcadah pay unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary for her fine by the Court here upon her Imposed for and by Occasion of the premisses af.d whereof in form af.d she is Convict thirty shillings Curr.t money of Maryland and that the af.d Arcadah Wheeler be taken to satisfie his said Lordship of the fine af.d &c Thereupon the said Arcadah Wheeler is ordered to give Security for the payment of all fee or fees due on the Information af.d to any person or persons whatsoever Thereupon a Certain Samuel Hopkins of Somerset County Gent present herein Court in his proper person undertook for the said Arcadah Wheeler to pay all fee or fees that might accrew due by means of the and Information af.d to any person or persons whatsoever &c
the same County the Sixteenth day of march in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty one before John Scott Esq.r and his Associates the said Lord proprietary his Justices of the same County Court and for the same Lord proprietary doth give the Court here to understand and be Informed that Solomon Craper late of all hallows parish in the said County of Somerset planter the tenth day of april in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty one at the parish af.d in the County af.d within the Jurisdiction of this Court did Commit fornication with a Certain Arcadah Wheeler and of her body then and there had Carnal knowledge and a bastard Child on the body of her the same Arcadah Wheeler then and there did beget to the high displeasure of Almighty God to the Evill Example of all others in such Case offending Contrary to the peace of the same Lord proprietary that now is his good rule and government and against the form of the Act of Assembly in such Case lately made and provided &c whereupon the same Attorney of the same Lord proprietary for the same Lord proprietary prays advice of the Court herein the premisses and ^that^ due process of Law in this part against the same Solomon Craper may be made to answer unto the said Lord proprietary of and upon the premisses &c Thereupon Command is to the sheriffe of the County af.d that he should take the said Solomon Crapper if &c to answer &c And now to witt at that same Court held for the County af.d at dividing Creek this Sixteenth day of march Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and forty one before the af.d Justices Came the af.d Solomon Crapper According to a Certain recognizance by him and his Security in this part first Acknowledged and had a hearing of the Information af.d and saith that he Cannot deny but that he is guilty of the premisses af.d in the Information af.d |
