and maketh Oath that a Certain Owen Sillivan is the begetter of the bastard Child she stands Indicted for and is willing to pay
her fine for the fact af.d &c

                Whereupon all and Singular the premisses being seen and by the Court here fully understood   It is Considered
by the Court here that the af.d Mary Mears pay unto his Lordship the right Honrbe the Lord propry of maryland
for his fine by the Court hereupon her Imposed for and by Occasion of the premisses af.d whereof in form af.d she is Convict
thirty shillings Curr.t money of Maryland and that the said Mary Mears be taken to satisfie his said Lordship of the fine af.d

                   Whereupon the said Mary Mears is ordered to give Security to save and keep Indemnified the Justices of the
County of Somerset and their Successors from all troubles burthens and Charges that might Accrew by means of the birth
and maintainance and bringing of the Child af.d &c

                    Thereupon the said Mary Mears with Benjamin Mitchell of Somerset County planter present herein Court in
their proper persons Acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his Lordship the right Honrble the Lord proprietary of the province
of Maryland in thirty pounds Curr.t money of their bodys goods or Chattles lands or tenements severally to be made and
Levied to the use of the Inhabitants of the County of Somerset for the time being  If it happen that the said Mary Mears
and Benj.a Mitchell their heirs Ex.rs and Adm.rs or any or either of them doe not from time to time and at all times hereafter
acquit discharge and save harmless as well the Justices of Somerset County Court for the time being and allso the Inhabitants
of said County of and from all Costs Charges and burthens whatsoever for or by reason of the birth maintainance nourishing
and bringing up of the af.d Child and of and from all other suits Charges troubles or demands whatsoever touching or Concerning
of the same &c
                               Whereupon the said Mary Mears is ordered to give good Security for the payment of all fee or Fees due
on the Indictment af.d to any person or persons whatsoever  Thereupon the afd Benj.a Mitchell of Somerset County
planter present here in Court undertook for the said Mary Mears to pay all fee or fees due unto any person or persons whatsoever
on the Indictment af.d in Case the said Mary Mears doth not pay the same &c

of the province of Maryland held at dividing Creek in Sommerset County the Third Tuesday
of November to witt the Seventeenth day of the Same month Anno Dom One thousand Seven hundred and forty One
before his said Lordships Justices the peace in the County af.d to keep assigned by the oath of twelve
Jurors presented that Rachel Freeman late of all hallows parish in Somerset the County of Somerset
spinster the thirteenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty
at the parish af.d in the County af.d and within the Jurisdiction of this Court did Commit fornication
