The Petition aforesaid being read and heard and fully understood      It is ^by^ Court here Ordered that Capt
William Lane direct and Lay Out a road from Mattapony Landing afd into the seaside County Road the best and
most Convenient way that may be for the Benefitt and Ease of all persons that hath Occasion to make use thereof
and that Parker Selby be Overseer thereof   and that all the male Taxable Labourers or as many as may be necessary
thats under Richard Sturges Overseer Ambross Willet Overseer Ephraim Waggaman Overseer be under the afd
Parker Selby and Joyn his Male Taxable Labourers in Clearing and Causwaying of the said New Road from
Mattapony Landing into the aforesaid seaside Road &a


                   Mary Bozman Came here into Court in her proper person and prays that her
negro man named Sambo may be Tax free for the future he being ancient and Infirm and past
Labour &c         Wherefore it is Considered by the Court here that the said Mary Bozman
be discharged from paying of Taxes for the aforesaid negro Sambo and that the same Negro Sambo be
Tax free for the future as aforesaid is praid &a

To the Worshipfull Justices of Sommerset County Court in Court Sitting
The Humble petition of William Willoby James a Languishing prisoner
for debt          Your poor petitioner humbly sheweth that he hath a wife
and four Small Children and in a manner ready to perish for want of meat and Cloaths and being Insolvent
and not able to Comply with his Creditors upon any reasonable termes humbly sheweth that he doth
design to apply to the assembly for Reliefe according to a resolve of the upper house  In such
Cases provided beggs your worships approbation and for your worships over bound
to pray                                                                                    William Willoby James
                Upon Reading of the aforesaid petition  It is Ordered by the Court here that
a Certificate be made to the aforesaid William Willoby James according to a resolve of the upper house
of assembly bearing date the third day of September Ann Dom One thousand seven hundred and
thirty One

     To the Worshipfull the Justices of Sommerset County Court now in Court
Sitting     The petition of George Baily Sen.r of Stepney parish humbly sheweth
that your petitioner is Eighty Years of Age or above for I very well Remember the plague of London
1665 so that I need not Tell your worships that I am weak and past my Usual Labour my Children
are nigh of age and for themselves Sarvants or Slaves I have none so I humbly pray your
