Sommerset ss
                                                  Att a Court of his Lordship the Right Honourable Charles absolute
Lord and proprietary of the Provinces of Maryland and avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c held at
dividing Creek in and for the County aforesaid the third Tuesday of March to witt the Sixteenth day of the same
month Ann Dom One thousand seven hundred and forty One by his said Lordships the Lord proprietarys
his Justices the peace in the same County to keep assigned of whom were present

       Whereupon the Court being Called and sale as above proceeded to business in manner following

                      And thereupon proclamation being made and the Sheriffe of Sommerset County to witt
John Handy Gentleman makes Return of a pannell of grand Jurors as Followeth vizt  Nicholas Fountain
Thomas Winder Alexander Marcy John Goddard Isaac Williams Whittington King William Bozman J.r
Thomas Givans Philip Spicer Edward Maglemory Aaron Tillman James Nairn Joseph Porter John
Sturgis William Friggs William Revell John White William Jarman and Christopher Piper and thereupon
proclamation being made in Common form the Jurors aforesaid so as aforesaid Impannelled being
Severally Called Over by their names appeared as above and were sworn and Charged to Inquire and
sent Out to Consider &a soon after the grand Jurors aforesaid being Impannelled sworn and Charged
as aforesaid return here into Court and severall Called Over appear and being asked if they had found
any bills of Indictment Return the severall bills following   against William Lane son of Geo Violet
Davis Elizabeth Spear Owen Sulavan Benjamin Derixon Elizabeth Trehearn    and thereupon
the Grand Jurors ^afd^ are discharged and Ordered that they be allowed five hundred pounds of tobacco for
their publick Service this Court to be allowed of in the County Levey in november then next following
and against the afd W.m Lane Elizabeth Spear Owen Sulavan Benjamin Derixon and Eliza
Trehearn so as aforesaid Indicted it is Ordered that Capias Issue Returnable against them to June Court
then next Following


       Upon the motion of Robert Jenckins Henry Gent prosecute of his Lordships pleas
in Sommerset County Court   It is Ordered that he direct and give Orders for the Issuing Out of all
such Subpenas as he should think proper to testifie against any person or persons what soever to
the grand Jury this Court &a
