200 If it should happen that Judgment in the plea af.d should be rendred for the same Robert Geddes against the said Richard Knight or that he the said Richard Knight should be therein Convict that then he the said Richard should pay and Satisfie unto the said Robert Geddes the Judgement of the Court thereupon or Render his body in Execution of such Judgment to the prison of the sheriffe of the County af.d in Satisfaction thereof or that he the said Ambrose Riggen will do the same for him &.a Whereupon the af.d Richard Knight puts in his place George Douglas Gent attorney at Law against the af.d Robert Geddes of the af.d plea &.a And thereupon at the Request of the parties af.d day is to them now here given untill next Court to be held at dividing Creek in and for the County af.d the third tuesday of June then next Following and he hath it and the same day is given to the af.d Robert here also &.a Att which day here Came againe as well the af.d Robert Geddes as the af.d Richard Knight by their attorney af.d and hereupon the said Robert Geddes Complained of the af.d Richard Knight in the plea af.d in form Following Somerset ss Richard Knight late of Somerset County Planter was attached to answer unto Robert Geddes of a plea of trespass upon the Case &.a And Whereupon the same Robert Gaddess by Robert Jenckins Henry his attorney Complains that whereas the af.d Richard after the first day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and five (to witt) the fourth day of August in the year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred and forty at Somerset County did make his Certain note in writing Called a promissary note with his proper hand thereunto subscribed bearing date the same day and Year Last mentioned which said note the same Richard to the said Robert Geddess then and there did deliver by which said note the af.d Richard did promise to pay unto the same Robert Geddes or his order at the fall then next Following the sum of Two pounds four shillings and nine pence in Corn or money for value Received by vertue of which Premisses as also by force of the statute in such Case lately made and provided the same Richard became Chargeable to pay unto the said Robert Geddess the sum of money af.d according to the tenor of that note and so thereof Chargeable being the af.d Richard afterwards to witt the same day and year last mentioned at Somerset County af.d in Consideration thereof upon |
