that same Jury did not appear therefore others of those standing by hereunto allected by the sheriffe of the County af.d and
at the request of the af.d John Purnall and by the Command of the af.d Justices are newly put on whose names to the
pannell within written are affiled According to the form of the statue in such Case made and provided which said Jurors
so newly put on to witt David Polk Absolum Hobbs Samuel Powell Robert Mitchell Francis Porter & Benjamin
Langford being Called Likewise Came who to say the truth of the premisses af.d together with the other Jurors af.d first
Impannelled and Sworn being Ellected tryed and and sworn upon their Oath say that the said Francis Allen did not assume
upon himself in manner and form as the said Francis by his plea af.d hath alledged &c

                      Therefore it is Considered that the af.d John Purnall take nothing by his Bill af.d but for his falce
Clamour be thereof in mercy and that the af.d Francis Allen goe thereof without day &c  And further it is Considered
that the af.d Francis Allen recover against the af.d John Purnall
722                  pounds of tobacco for his Costs and Charges by him about his defence in that part Sustained to the
same Francis by the Court here of his Assent Adjudged According to the form of the statute in such Case made and
provided adjudged and that the af.d Francis have thereof Execution &c

          Command was given to the sheriffe of Somerset County

that he should take Richard Knight Late of Somerset County planter
if he should be found in his bailywick and him should safe keep so that he might have his body
before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at deviding Creek the
third tuesday of March Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and forty to answer unto Robert
Geddes of a plea of trespass upon the Case &.c  and the same day is given to the af.d Robert here &.a

                        Att which day here Came ^the^ af.d Robert Geddes by Robert Jenckins Henry his attorney
and the sheriffe to witt John Handy Gent now here Returned that he had taken the af.d Richard
Knight whose body hereat this day he had ready to answer the af.d Robert Geddes of the af.d plea
as to him it was Commanded                        And the af.d Richard Knight being present herein
Court in his proper person at the prayer of the af.d Robert Geddes is adjudged to give speciall bail
to the action af.d             Thereupon Came hereinto Court a Certain Ambrose Riggen of Somerset
County Planter in his proper person and render to him for the said Richard Knight  Likewise
the said Richard Knight present herein Court in his proper person assumed upon himself that
