                     November Court                               1741                            179

    The petition af.d being read and heard and fully understood and mature deliberation thereupon had  It is Considered by the Court here that
a Commission Issue to the af.d Levin Dashiell as by the petition af.d is praid and that George Gale Day Scott John Shiles and Samuell Fluelling
of Somerset County Gent be Commissioners and Execute the same Commission according to Act of Assembly in such Case made and provided &c


John Donelson
       Chose
Guardian
      John Donelson (son of John Donelson Lately dec.d) being above the age of fourteen years Came hereinto
Court and prays that he may be permitted to Chose a Certain Robert Jenckins Henry of the County afd as
his Guardian which is by the Court hereunto him granted     Thereupon the said John Donelson the Younger
present herein Court as aforesaid in his proper person made Choice of the afd Robert Jenckins Henry as his guardian
accordingly      Whereupon Katherine Donelson mother of the aforesaid JOhn Donelson the Younger ^is Ordered by the Court here to^ deliver up unto the
the aforesaid Guardian all the Estate Real of the afd John Donelson the Younger that she hath in her hands both real and
possession   And further it is Ordered by the Court here that the afd Guardian give Security to Comply with the Guardianship
aforesaid and Likewise to deliver up unto the said Orphan or his Guardian or Guardians all the Estate Real that he shall take
into his possession peaceably and quietly when Ever the Same should be Legally required &a

                         Thereupon the said Robert Jenckins Henry with Thomas Hayward of the County afd his security both
present herein Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto the said John Donelson the Younger
in fifty pounds Currant money of Maryland of their bodies goods or Chattles Lands or tenements to be made and Levied
to the Use of the said John Donelson the Younger his heirs or assigns   If it happen that the afd Robert Jenckins
Henry guardian afd do not Comply with the Law in relation to such Guardianships as afd and doe not deliver up unto the afd
John Donahou the Younger or to his Guardian or Guardians all his Estate Real that he shall have in his hands and possession
peaceably and quietly when ever the same should be Legally Required &c

 Sarah Horsey daughter of Revell Horsey Late of Sommerset County dec.d an Orphan
of her Own free Consent is bound Out by the Court here an apprentice according to act of assembly
in such Case made and provided unto Hannah Turpin of the same place widdow untill she arrives
                      at the age of Sixteen Years the said apprentice to Serve her said Mistress the full term aforesaid
during which term the said apprentice her said Mistress well and faithfully she shall serve her secrets Keep her Commandments
Lawfully and honestly every where willingly she shall do and as a good and faithfull Apprentice shall demean herselfe
towards her said mistress and all hers during the term afd &a

                     In Consideration of which Service the said Hannah Turpin is Ordered to give Security for to Comply with
the Covenants afd hereafter mentioned      Thereupon a Certain William Turpin (son of the aforesaid Hannah Turpin) of
the County aforesaid planter present herein Court in his proper person undertook for the aforesaid Hannah Turpin and
acknowledged himselfe Indebted unto the afd Sarah Horsey in the full and Just Sum of Twenty pounds Currant money of
Maryland of his body goods or Chattles Lands or tenements to the Use of the afd Sarah Horsey her heirs or assignes to
be made and Levied  If it happen that the said Hannah Turpin doe not Learn the said Sarah Horsey during her
Servitude to Read well in the bible and Knitt sew and spin and Other housewifery and doe not Likewise find and
