179 Elgate Hitch of Wiccomico hundred in Somerset County planter is appointed ^by the Court here^ Constable of said Hundred for the Ensueing Years &c John Anderson of monokin hundred in Somerset County planter is appointed by the Court here Constable of said hundred for the Ensueing year &.c Whereupon the said John Anderson present herein Court in his proper person took the Severall oaths to the Government appointed by Act of Assembly to be taken with the oath of Constable and repeated the test and Subscribed the same with the oath of abjuration &c Race Clark of Baltemore hundred in Somerset County planter is appointed by the Court here Constable of said Hundred for the Ensueing year &.c Whereupon the said Race Clark present herein Court in his proper person took the Severall oaths to the Government appointed by Act of Assembly to be taken with the oath of Constable and repeated the test and Subscribed the same with the oath of abjuration &c Thomas Johnson of Boquetenorton hundred in Somerset County planter is appointed by the Court here Constable of said hundred by the Ensueing year &c Thomas Wise of Mattopany hundred in Somerset County planter is appointed by the Court here Constable of said Hundred for the Ensueing year &c John Roberts of Many hundred in Somerset County planter is appointed by the Court here Constable of said Hundred for the Ensueing year &c Isaac Williams J.r of Annamessex hundred in Somerset County planter is appointed by the Court here Constable of said hundred for the Ensueing year &c
being Very old has noe hopes of ever regaining the use of them again your petitioner therefore humbly prays that your worships will order that he may be set Tax free and your petitioner shall as in duty bound Ever pray The petition af.d being read and heard and fully understood and mature deliberation thereupon had It is Considered by the Court here that the af.d Arthur Davis be discharged from paying of taxes for the future as by the petition af.d is praid and that he be allowed One pound of tobacco as an Object &c
and your petitioner therefore prays that proper persons be appointed to Examine Evidences in relation to said bounds and as in duty bound shall pray The |
