178 Rhody Bowen be discharged from paying of taxes for the af.d Negro Ned as by the petition af.d is praid &c
to Learn the said Isaac Horsey to Read writt and Cypher as farr as the Rule of three Inclusive and at the Expiration of the term afd give him a new Suit of Cloaths to witt a Coat Vest Britches hatt shoes and stockens and to new Shirts beyond his Common Wearing Cloaths and Likewise provide for the said Isaac Horsey meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing sufficient for him to have and wear during the term afd Whereupon the said John Horsey is Ordered to give Security for to Comply with the Covenants afd Thereupon the said John Horsey with Joshua Mitchell of Sommerset County planter his Security both present herein Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto the said Isaac Horsey in thirty pounds Currant money of Maryland of their bodies goods or Chattles Lands or tenements Severally to be made and Levied to the Use of the said Isaac Horsey his heirs or assigns If it happen that the said John Horsey doe not during the term afd Learn the said Isaac Horsey to read write and Cypher as far as the rule of three Inclusive and do not Likewise at the End of the term afd give the said Isaac Horsey at the Expiration of the term afd a new Suit of Cloaths to witt a Coat Vest and Britches hat shoes and Stockens and Two new Shirts beyond his Common wearing Cloaths and not doe not provide for the said Isaac Horsey meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing Sufficient for him to have and wear during the term afd and further it is Ordered by the Court here that Mary Horsey sister of the afd Isaac Horsey deliver up unto the afd John Horsey all the Estate personall that She hath in her hands belonging unto the afd Isaac Horsey &a
into Consideration and discharge your petitioner for the time Hereafter from paying the publick or County Levie and your petitioner as in duty bound shall Ever pray &c William Haymand Sr The petition af.d being read and heard and fully understood and mature deliberation thereupon had It is Considered by the Court here that the af.d William Hayman be discharged from paying of taxes for the future as by the petition af.d is praid and allowed one pound of tobacco as an Object &c
