139 answer the af.d Richard Knight of the af.d plea as to him it was Commanded Whereupon the af.d William Pilchard puts in his place George Douglas Gent Attorney at Law against the af.d Richard Knight of the af.d plea And thereupon at the request of the parties af.d day is to them now here given untill next Court to be held at dividing Creek in and for the County af.d the third tuesday of June then next Following in the same state as present saveing to the parties af.d &c Att which day here Came again the af.d William Pilchard by his Attorney af.d and the af.d Richard Knight altho' Solemnly Called Came not nor ^is^ his writ af.d against the af.d William Pilchard further prosecuted &c Therefore he and his pledges of prosecuting are in mercy and let the said Richard Knight name pledges &c and that the af.d William Pilchard goe thereof without day also it is Considered that the af.d William Pilchard recover against the af.d 164 Richard Knight his damages af.d by Occasion of the premisses to pounds of tobacco to the same William by discretion of the Justices here at his request for his Costs and Charges in that part sustained according to the form of the statute in such Case lately made and provided by the Court here adjudged &c
Costs thereon on the tenth day of November Next Taken before me this 24th day of July 1741 Jno Scott Ordered that William Lane of Somerset County Gent divide the Roads thats now under James Houston and John Melton Overseers of the Roads in the South side of pocomoke River and that the said Lane Limmitt and Order each Overseer their part of the said Road and Labourers &c
