106 a Certain Isaac Morris of Somerset County Gentleman present herein Court undertook for the said William Jarman to pay all Fee or Fees due to any person or persons whatsoever on the Information af.d in Case the said William Jarman doth not pay the same &.a
being presented that Daniel Dennis late of all hallows parish in the said County of Somerset planter the Sixth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred forty with force and Arms at the parish af.d in the County af.d within the Jurisdiction of this Court in and upon a Certain Thomas Collins Jun.r in the peace of God and the same Lord propry then and there being an assault did make and him the same Thomas then and there did bet wound and Evilly treat to the Grievous Damage of him the said Thomas and Contrary to the peace of the right Honourable the Lord proprietary that now is his good rule and Government &c Thereupon it is Commanded the Sheriffe of Somerset County that he Should Take the said Daniel Dennis if he Should be found in his Bailywick and him should safe keep so that he might have his body before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset now here held at dividing Creek this Instant third Tuesday of June to answer unto his said Lordship of the Indictment afd Att which day here before his Lordships Justices Came the said Daniel Dennis in his proper person and had a hearing of the Indictment aforesaid and saith that he is not thereof Guilty and for tryall thereof he puts himselfe upon the Country and Robert Jenckins Henry Gent his Lordships attorney who for his said Lordship in this part prosecuteth in Like manner Therefore Lett Come thereof the Jury Immediately before his Lordships Justices at dividing Creek by which &a and who neither &a to recognize & becaus &a And thereupon the said Daniel Relinquisheth his Verification aforesaid by him above alledged and Saith that he Cannot deny but that he is Guilty of the premisses aforesaid in the Indictment aforesaid above against him Imposed in manner and form as by the Indictment afd against him Supposed and the premisses aforesaid in the Indictment aforesaid Expressly acknowledgeth and puts himselfe upon the favour of the Court Whereupon all and Singular the premisses being seen and by the Court her fully understood It is Considered by the Court here that the af.d Daniel Dennis pay unto his Lordship the right honourable the Lord proprietary of the province of Maryland for his fine by the Court hereupon him Imposed for and by Occasion oft the premisses af.d whereof in form af.d he is Convict two shillings and six pence Currt money of Maryland and that the said Daniel Dennis be taken to satisfie his said Lordship of the fine af.d &c
