(106) Seven hundred and forty one before John Scott Esq.r and his associates the said Lord Proprietary his Justices of the same County Court and for the same Lord Proprietary doth give the Justices here to understand and be informed that William Jarman Late of all hallow Parish in the said County of Somerset planter the sixth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty with force and arms at the parish af.d in the County af.d within the Jurisdiction of this Court in and upon a Certain Daniel Dennis in the peace of God and the same Lord Proprietary then and there being and assault did make and him the said Daniel then and there did beat wound and evilly treat to the Grievous damage of him the said Daniel and Contrary to the peace of the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary that now is his good Rule and Government and against the form of the act of assembly in such case made and provided &c Whereupon the same attorney of the said Lord Proprietary prays Advice of the Court herein the premisses and that due process of Law in this part against the af.d William Jarman may be made to answer the same Lord Proprietary of and upon the premisses &.a Thereupon it is Commanded the sheriffe of the County of Somerset that he should take the said William Jarman if he should be found in his bailywick and him should safe keep so that he might have his body before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek the third tuesday of June One thousand seven hundred and forty one to answer unto his said Lordship of the Information af.d &.a And Now to wit at that same Court held for the County afd the third tuesday of June being the sixteenth day of the same month Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and forty one before the Justices af.d at dividing Creek Came the af.d William Jarman in his proper person and had a hearing of the Information af.d and saith that he Cannot deny but that he is Guilty of the premisses af.d in the Information af.d specifyed above against him Imposed as by the Information af.d against him supposed and e premisses in the Information af.d expressly acknowledgeth Whereupon all and Singular the premisses being seen and by the Court here fully understood It is Considered by the Court here that the af.d William Jarman Pay unto his Lordship the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary of the province of maryland for his fine by the Court here upon him Imposed for and by occasion of the Premisses af.d whereof in form af.d he is Convict two shillings and six pence Currt money of maryland and that the said W.m Jarman be taken to satisfie his said Lordship of the fine af.d &.a Whereupon the said William Jarman is ordered to give security for the payment of all Fee or Fees due on the Information af.d to any person or persons whatsoever Thereupon a Certain |
