Inventory and Valuation of the negroes belonging to the Estate of
Thomas H. Horsey late of Kent County deceased as appraised by the
Subscribers being thereto lawfully sworn this 19.th day of March 1860

Negro man Stephen about 60 yrs old a slave for life
Negro woman Hannah & her infant child Slaves for life
                                       (the woman about 21 yrs old)
Negro Girl  Julia about 6 yrs old Slave for life
Negro Girl Charlotte C. Mann an apprentice to serve
                                four years from 26.th day of August next
Negro Boy William C. Mann an apprentice to serve nine
                              years from the first day of June next

We the undersigned hereby certify that the above is a true and just
valuation of the negroes belonging to the Estate of the late Thomas H. Horsey
amounting to one thousand two hundred and Seventy five dollars and we
are of the opinion that the said negroes will not divide profitably amongst
the heirs and therefore recommend that they be sold instead of being
distributed
                     In Witness whereof we have hereunto Subscribed our
names and affixed our seals this 19.th day of March 1860

We the undersigned having been appointed to appraise and distribute the
negroes belonging to the estate of Ann E. Browne Deceased after being
duly qualified do hereby proceed to fulfill the duties assigned to us
in the following manner viz

We hereby value and appraise
1 Negro Woman named Rachel Thompson     33 yrs old
1     "        Boy       do    Silas Murry               13  "    "
1     "          "          do    Richard Thompson     7  "    "
1     "          "          do    Charles Thompson     4  "    "
1     "       Girl         do      Ann Thompson        2  "    "
1     "       Boy        do      Henry Thompson     1  "    "

at    $300.00

    $1300.00

And that thy amount in the aggregate to Thirteen Hundred dollars
and their being Seven Heirs the said negroes in our judgement will not
admit of distribution we therefore recommend that the said negroes be sold and
the proceeds distributed among the heirs      As witness this our hands & Seals
