4 Inventory and Valuation of the negroes belonging to the Estate of Thomas H. Horsey late of Kent County deceased as appraised by the Subscribers being thereto lawfully sworn this 19.th day of March 1860
We the undersigned hereby certify that the above is a true and just valuation of the negroes belonging to the Estate of the late Thomas H. Horsey amounting to one thousand two hundred and Seventy five dollars and we are of the opinion that the said negroes will not divide profitably amongst the heirs and therefore recommend that they be sold instead of being distributed In Witness whereof we have hereunto Subscribed our names and affixed our seals this 19.th day of March 1860 William Cacy (Seal) Richard C. Johnson (Seal) We the undersigned having been appointed to appraise and distribute the negroes belonging to the estate of Ann E. Browne Deceased after being duly qualified do hereby proceed to fulfill the duties assigned to us in the following manner viz We hereby value and appraise
And that thy amount in the aggregate to Thirteen Hundred dollars and their being Seven Heirs the said negroes in our judgement will not admit of distribution we therefore recommend that the said negroes be sold and the proceeds distributed among the heirs As witness this our hands & Seals this second day of January 1860 Abel J Rees (seal) R.
