99 at the publick whiping post with twenty five Stripes on the bare back well Laid on untill the blood appear it being adjudged full Satisfaction for the offence afd and afterwards in the same Court Came the said Sheriffe and made return that he had done the Execution of the Judgm.t afd as to the Corporall punishment aforesaid he was Commanded &c Whereupon it is Ordered by the Court here that the Said Mary Crowley give Security to save and keep endemnified the Justices of Somerset County and their Successors from all Costs Charges and burthens that might accrew by means of the birth of the Child afd &c Thereupon the said Mary Crowley with Thomas Denwood of Somerset County Chyrurgion her ^security^ present here in Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his Lordship the right honourable the Lord Proprietary in forty pounds Sterling Each of their bodys goods or Chattells Lands or tenements Severally to be made and Levied to the Use of the Justices of the County afd and their Successors If it happen that the said Mary Crowley her heirs Executors or administrators or any of them do and Shall not from time to time and at all times hereafter acquit discharge and save harmless as well the Justices of the County afd and their Successors for the time being as also the Inhabitants of the said County of and from all Costs Charges troubles and Incumbrances whatsoever for or by reason of the birth maintainance nourishing and bringing up of the said Child and of and from all other Suites Charges troubles and demands whatsoever touching or Concerning of the Same &c whereupon the afd Thomas Denwood prays that the said Mary Crowley may be adjudged to serve him for the trouble of his [illegible] when delivered of the afd Bastard Child and the Expences that he was at by the occasion afd &c Whereupon the said Mary Crowley is adjudged by the Court here that she serve the said Thomas Denwood Six full months being adjudged full satisfaction for the trouble of the house and Expences occasioned by means of the Bastard Child afd &c which said six months Service to Commence at the Expiration of her already Service &.c ordered that she return to her Masters Service & he to pay fees according to Law &c
