73 upon himself did assume and to the said Samuel then and there faithfully promise that he the said Abraham the said twenty two pounds five shillings and four pence half penny to the said Samuel when he should be afterwards thereto required well and faithfully he would pay and Content and altho the said Abraham since hath paid to the said Samuel the sum of eleven pounds thirteen shillings and three pence like money part of the said twenty pounds five shillings and four pence half penny Nevertheless as to eight pounds twelve shillings and one pen ny half peny of like money Residue of the said twenty pounds five shillings and four pence half penny the said Abraham his promise and assumption af.d in form af.d made nothing regarding but minding and fraudulently intending the said Samuel in that part craftilly and Subtilly to deceive and defraud the af.d eight pounds twelve shillings and one penny half penny residue of the said twenty pounds five shillings and four pence half penny to the said Samuel hath not paid or him for the same in any sort contented but the same in any part Contented but the same to him hitherto to pay altogether hath refused and still doth refuse altho the same to him to pay the said Abraham afterwards to witt the day and year af.d at the County af.d and often since that time by the said Samuel was required wherefore the said Samuel says he is damnifyed seventeen pounds Curr.t money of Maryland and thereof he brings suit &c Pledges &c John Doe & R Roe D.r Abraham Ingram To Samuel Beekley Contra Cr
