Judgment
1736 - 1738 March Court 1736 7 and other harms [illegible] then and there did to the great damage of the same Thomas Hall and against the peace of the said Lord proprietary that now is his good Rule and Government &c Test John Handy Tho.s Hall Junr On the foregoing bill of Indictm.t it was Endorsed Ignoramus Alexander Lackey foreman and afterwards to witt the fifteenth day of March Anno Dom One thousand Seven hundred & thirty Six before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset now here held in the Court house at dividing Creek in & for the Same County came the said Thomas Langford in his proper person according to a certain recognizance by him & his Security before acknowledged and prays that his appearance may be recorded and he & his Security discharged &c thereupon the Same Thomas Langford's appearance is recorded & he and his Security accordingly discharged from the recognizance afd &a Whereupon the same Thomas Langford is ordered to give Security for the payment of the Severall Officers their Fees due by means of the recognizance & Indictment afd &a Thereupon a Certain Mathew Parramore Sen.r of Somerset County planter present herein Court in his proper person undertook for the Same Thomas Langford and acknowledged himselfe indebted unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary in the Sum of five hundred pounds of tobacco of his body goods or Chattells Lands or tenements for the Use of the Severall Officers of Somerset County Court (that hath a right to any Fee or Fees upon the recognizance and Indictment afd) their heirs or assignes to be made & Levied In case the said Thomas Langford doth not pay and Satisfie unto the Severall officers afd their Just Fee or Fees due as afd &c
the Jurisdiction of this Court ^in^ and upon a Certain Thomas Langford of the same County planter in the peace of God and of the said Lord proprietary [illegible] there being with force and Arms an assault did make and the same Thomas Langford [illegible] and there did beat wound and evilly treat so that of his life it was much despaired [illegible] to him then and there did to the great damage of the same Thomas Langford [illegible] the peace of the said Lord proprietary that now is his good and Government &c Test John Handy Tho.s Langford Jun.r On the foregoing [illegible] it was endorsed Ignoramus Alex.d Lackey foreman And afterwards to witt the [illegible] March Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and thirty six before the Justices [illegible] County Court of Somerset now here held in the Court house at dividing Creek in and for the [illegible] Comes the said Tho.s Hall in his proper person According to a certain Recognizance [illegible] Security before acknowledged |
