white oake now in his vew and told him that tree was the bounder of a our tracts of Land and
that a tract Called Gleneath was one of them which tree stands on the westermost side of
pocomoke River about fifty yards from the said River upon a point of high Land
near the side of a small gutt known by the name of Catt Gutt and further saith not
June y.e 7.th 1736/  Alexander Macredey of Somerset County planter aged fifty
years of there abouts being by us sworn upon the holy evangelist of almighty God deposeth
and saith that about thirty years ago (to the best of his knowledge) he was shewed
an old rotten Oake stump near the side of pocomoke Bay where we Caused a pine Saplin
to be Sliped on four sides between Spenniks point and Michal Cliftons Plantation
and was told that was the bounder between Michal Cliftons and Edmon Howards Land
but saw no markes in itt and this deponant further saith that some years after he
was in Companey with M.r William Whittington the then Sury.r who was Imployed
by Michal Cliften af.d to run out some part of his Land In order to discover some
Land which he af.d intended to Clear and that the said Whittington then begun at the af.d
old stump and further saith not   The above depositions was taken before us the
subscribers being first duly qualefied according to Law the day and year above written

June the 7.th 1736/  Jacob Adams of Somerset County aged sixty         W.m Lane
                                                                                                             Jn.o Henry
years or thereabouts being sworn upon the holy evangelist of almighty God deposeth
and saith that about twenty eight or twenty nine years ago Michal Cliften Imployed
M.r W.m Whittington who was then Surveyer to lay out some part of his Land in
order to discover if their was any vacant at the head of his Land and that they begun
at a Rotten old oak stump to the best of his knowledge their was no markes to be
seen in it standing between Spencix point and Michal Cliftens plantation where
wee Caused a small pine to be Sliped on four sides standing with in ten or a dozen
yards of the bay side and further saith not

                   June the 7.th 1736  Sarah Byer wife of Robert Byer of Somerset County aged fifty years or thereabouts
being Sworn on the holy Evangelist of almighty God deposeth & Saith that about thirty years agoe she saw Philip Conaway
and John Manlove put their hands upon a white oake now in her view Standing on the West side of Pocomoke
River about fifty yards from the said River near a small Gutt Called Catt Gutt and that they told her
that Jenckins Price's man told them that was Jenckins Price's tree and further saith not
