and John Evans having given due Notice and the Subscribers being qualified met on the aforesaid Land Called
Credwell on the twenty Eighth day of may ann Dom One thousand Seven hundred & thirty seven George
Layfeild Complainant and Edward Franklin defend.t Came Robert Hodge an Evidence aged about fifty
years and being Sworn as above and Examined saith that the first time he saw a Certain Marked white
Oak standing about ten strides to the right hand going up Synapuxon Road and about ten strides from
a bounder of the said Franklins Land and further the said Franklyn told this deponant that there was
another bounder standing by the said three runs branch belonging to him ^and^ the said Stevens ridge and
further saith not
                                  The same day came Edmund Crapper sen.r aged about fifty seven Years and being
Sworn and Examined as above saith that almost thirty years agoe Coll John Franklyn told him severall
times that the Oake above Mentioned was a bounder of his the said Franklyns Land and further saith
not            The Same day came Nathaniel Crapper Sen.r aged fifty odd years and being
sworn and examined as above saith     That about thirty years agon he was a looking
for Cattle in Company with the abovesaid Frankly and coming along the abovesaid
Hartfords Branch the said Franklyn told him that the white oak abovesaid was
a bound.r of his the said Franklyns Land and further to the best of this deponts memory
the said Francklyn told him that it was also a bound.r of Stevensses Ridge
afterwards belonging to Esq.r Layfield and further saith not               As

Nearn of the County af.d in Relation to the bounds of a tract of Land Called the Entrance
upon a Resurvay of the Ancient tract Called Gleneck we therefore Require
you or any three or two of you at some time and place as to you or any three
or two of you shall seem Convenient you meet on the af.d Land Called as af.d (you first
