50 King of Somerset County Gent her Security both present herein Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto the Said Sarah Jordine in Twenty pounds Currant money of Maryland of their bodys goods or Chattells Lands or tenements Joyntly and Severally to be made & Levied to the use of the said Sarah Jordine her heirs or assigns If it happen that the said Abigail Waters do not during the term afd use her utmost Endeavour to Learn her said apprentice to knitt Sew & Spinn & other houswifery and do not Likewise find and provide for her said apprentice meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing sufficient for Such an apprentice to have and wear during the term aforesaid &c
Master the full term afd during which term the said John Jordine his said Master well and faithfull shall Serve his secrets keep his Commandments Lawfully and honestly every where willingly he Shall do and in all things as food and faithfull apprentice he Shall demean himselfe towards his said Master and all his during the term afd &c In consideration of which Service the said Henry Ballard present herein Court in his proper person Covenanteth with the Justices of the Same Court in Court Judicially Sitting in manner and form following viz.t that he the said Henry Ballard during the term afd shall and will Learn his said apprentice Either the trade of a Black Smith or Cordwainer and give him during the same term one whole year & halfe Schooling and a Cow and Calfe at the Expiration of his Servitude and a new Suit of Cloaths over and above his Common Wearing Cloaths and Likewise find and provide for his said apprentice meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing meet for such an apprentice to have & wear during the term afd &c Whereupon the said Henry Ballard is ordered to give recognizance for the performing of the Covenants afd Thereupon the said Henry Ballard present herein Cot in his proper person acknowledged himselfe Indebted unto the said John Jordine in the Sum of thirty pounds sterling good & Lawfull money of England of his body goods or Chattells Lands or tenements to the use of the said John Jordine his heirs or assignes ^to be be made & Levied^ If it happen that the said Henry Ballard do not during the term afd Learn his said apprentice the trade Either of a black Smith or Cordwainer and do not give him ^one^ whole Year & a half Schooling and do not at the Expiration of his Servitude Give him a new Suit of Cloaths over and above his Common Wearing Cloaths and a Cow and Calfe and Likewise find and provide for his said apprentice meat drink washing & Lodging and Cloathing meet for such an apprentice to have & wear during the term afd &c |
