Mary Jordine
  bound to
Magdalene Smith
Mary Jordine (daughter of Aaron Jordine Late of Somerset County decd) an
orphan of her own Free Consent is bound out by the Court here an apprentice
according to act of assembly in such Case made and provided unto Magdalene
Smith of the Same place weaver untill she arrives at the age of Sixteen
Years she being Eight Years of age this Instant June the said Mary Jordine to Serve her
said Mistress the full term afd during which term the said Mary Jordine her said Mistress
well and faithfully shall serve her secretts keep her Commandments Lawfully and honestly ever
willingly she shall doe and in all things as a good and faithfull apprentice she shall demean herselfe
towards her said Mistress and all hers during the term afd &c

       In consideration of which Service the said Magdalene Smith present here in Court in her
proper person Covenanteth with the Justices of the Same Court in Court Judicially Sitting in
manner and form following vizt  that She the said Magdalene Smith during the term afd will learn
her said apprentice the trade of a weaver and to Read well in the Bible and to knitt Sew & Spin
and Other houswifery and at the Expiration of her Servitude give her a new Suit of Cloaths over
and above her Common wearing Cloath and Likewise provide for her said apprentice meat drink
washing Lodging and Cloathing mete for Such an apprentice to have and wear during the term afd

    Whereupon the said Magdalene Smith is Ordered by the Court here to give Security ^to Comply^ with the
Covenants afd &c   Thereupon the said Magdalene Smith with James Anderson of Somerset
County planter her Security both present here in Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves
Indebted unto the said Mary Jordine in the Sum of thirty pounds Sterling good and
Lawfull money of England of their bodys goods or Chattells Lands or tenements Joyntly and Severally
to be made and Levied to the Use of the said Mary Jordine her heirs or assigns  If it Happen that the
said Magdalene Smith do not during the term afd Learn her said apprentice the trade of a weaver
and do not Learn her during the same term to read well in the Bible and knitt Sew and Spin and other houswifery
and do not at the Expiration of her Servitude give her a new Suit of Cloaths over and above her COmmon
Wearing Cloaths and do not Likewise provide for her said apprentice meat drink washing Lodging &
Cloathing mete for Such an apprentice to have & wear during the term afd &c

          To the worshipfull the Justices of Somerset County now in Court Sitting the humble
          petition of Underwood Renchor sheweth  Whereas your petitioner being
possest of a Certain Negro Woman named Bess and hath been for these two years past incapable of doing
any Service or Labour being afflicted with the Yaws and now in a low weak Condition which renders
