     Command was given to the Sheriffe of Somerset County that he should

take Richard Knight Late of Somerset County planter if he should be found in
his bailywick and him should safe keep so that he Should have his body before
the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held in the Court house at dividing Creek
in the Same County the third Tuesday of March ann Dom One thousand Seven hundred & thirty
six to answer unto Katherine Stewart of a plea of trespass upon the Case &c and that thereof
he should not fail &c   Att which day here Came the said Katherine Stewart by Robert Jenckins
Henry her attorney and the Sheriffe of the County afd returned that he had taken the afd Richard Knight
whose body here at this day he had Ready to answer the afd Katherine Stewart of the afd Plea as to him
it was Commanded &c
                                           Whereupon the said Richard Knight by William Beckingham his attorney
  Cometh & defendeth the force and Injury when &c and the afd Katherine Stewart then and there her writt
afd against the afd Richard Knight did not prosecute with Effect but Voluntarily Suffered her
suit to be discontinued  Therefore afterwards to witt that Same day by discretion of the Justices
here were adjudged the same Richard                                                                     pounds of
353   tobacco for his Costs and Charges by him about his defence in that part Sustained according to the form
of the Statute in such Case Lately made and provided and the afd Katherine in Mercy and that the
afd Richard have thereof Execution &c

    Command was given to the Sheriffe of Somerset County that he Should attach Will.m Robinson
of Stepney parish in Somerset County planter if he Should be found in his bailywick &
him should safe keep so that he should safe keep so that he should have his body before
the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek in the Same County the
third Tuesday of March Ann Dom One thousand Seven hundred and thirty Six to answer unto
his Lordship of and upon such things which on his said Lordships behalfe should be then and there
Objected against him and further to do and receive what the same Court of him should Consider as also
to answer his not burning of One hundred and fifty pounds of tobacco p Taxable in the Years one
thousand seven hundred and thirty four and thirty five according to act of assembly in such Case
made and provided &c         Att which day here Came the Sheriffe of the County afd to witt Joseph
Macclester Gent and returned that he had attached the said William Robinson whos body he had here at
this day ready to answer his said Lordship as afd he was Commanded  and the said Sheriffe at the
same day altho Solemnly Called brings not in the body of the afd William Robinson according to the
return of the writt afd but makes default &c      Therefore it is Considered that the afd Joseph Macclester
Sheriffe of the County afd be amerciaed to his Lordships by reason of his default afd Forty Shillings
Current Money of Maryland and also that he pay unto Thomas Hayward Clerk of the same Coty his fees due by measure of
the attachm.t af.d &c
